GM (gov't motors), in conjunction with Segue plan to build new economical vehicles: they also plan to build a military version:

Wait until one of these Segways gets hit by a Yukon.

Hopefully Yukons will be unaffordable to own once we tax gasoline through the roof.

How about the people that need Yukons, pickups, etc for work? Why the need to punish people, Saunterelle? Oh, wait, it is part of your need to control everyone else to bring your social agenda to fruition.

Hey, it might motivate GMC to engineer them to get better gas mileage. It's time to ween ourselves off our foreign oil dependency problem.

GM is already making cars that people with testoterone want, you dolt! The GMC Yukon Hybrid gets 22 mpg/hwy (same city mpg as a Toyota Camry) and carries 8 passengers plus lots of cargo. The Prius gets 45 mpg, carries only 4 ( uncomfortably) and maybe one small bag of groceries, kills people in collisions, and costs about $25,000 to start. It would take the average driver about 5 years to offset the extra costs with gas savings. It would take 2 and 1/2 Priuses to haul as many people/cargo as ONE Yukon on the same amount of fuel. How much sense does that Prius make now, knucklehead?

How much sense does that Prius make now, knucklehead? It's fine that GMC has chosen to put an inferior hybrid engine in the Yukon but if it only boosts highway fuel mileage to 22mpg it doesn't really help. There should be an across the board ban on new recreational vehicles that get less than 35mpg. The Prius is just as safe, if not safer, than a Yukon. Check the crash test ratings yourself: www.motortrend.com/cars/2009/toyota/prius/crash_test_ratings/index.html

Apparently, you used to work as a crash test dummy. Your brain is a hybrid (mush and beans). Obviously, you don't know how to read if you think a Prius is just as safe as a Yukon. Check the numbers from the same source you quuoted!!! Motortrend on the YukonThe Prius is NO WHERE NEAR as safe as a Yukon. And just what makes it an "inferior" motor? Perhaps you didn't notice that the Yukon is MUCH LARGER and heavier than the Prius. Did I mention its also more powerful, much FASTER, and way more masculine than a Prius? Suppose a family of 5 plan a trip to Tahoe and the kids invite 3 of their friends. HOW THE HELL are you going to get them and all their gear there in a damn Prius? Make two trips? Alles klar, Herr Komisar!

If he tries to tell us that a GD Prius is as fast, as safe, as powerful, and can carry as many people and cargo as a Yukon I just might have to jump through this monitor and cyber slap him!!!!!!!
