On the road again... Just back from a road trip to Oregon, near Grant's Pass and it seems odd to still see snow on Shasta. While it's nice to go places driving can be SO boring especially I-505! We didn't have any problems with traffic until we were about 5 miles from home and some idiot attempted to pass me on the left shoulder, I was in the fast lane! Unbelievable! And, yes, I called it in to 911.

Though I am sure you are being genuine in your expressions for your Grandfather and Uncle, the ideology you have recently expressed in words on this site means you stand for everything they fought against. How does that make you feel?

i will give the obama WH a little credit on something. a group of about 60 professors petitioned the White House, asking the first black U.S. president to break tradition and not memorialize military members from the Confederacy, the group of Southern states that supported slavery. the WH ignored the request. good for them. memorial day (decoration day) is set aside for the remembrance of ALL american soldiers and their service. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all. i wouldn't be surpised in in future years liberal groups refuse to honor those who served while citizens of states that don't recogninze gay marriage or that have the death penalty. the tolerant ones will stop at nothing to show their intollerance for all who are not in sync with their ideology.
