Hey did you guys ever hear the one about. How Evil old George Bush "Artificially" controlled/raised the price of oil? Wow it would appear BO has him beat at that also. BO sets records like nobodies business outspent GWB in 4 months and now this. 100% PRICE INCREASE IN JUST FOUR SHORT MONTHS!! And at 250 a barrel, well many of us will be dead. But Mink, Sunny and Saunterelle can starve to death knowing they helped create "Change".... www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/jun/10/oil-market-reservesSaddest part is there is more readily available sweet crude under the ground between Alaska and Texas than all of the middle east, Russia and Indonesia... Couple the rising gas prices with: The coming tax INCREASES And the coming HIGHER energy costs.. And yea this guy has pretty well given us the shaft, while he and his corporate raider "pals" get the mine. This is how a socialist leader slowly confiscates liberty from his people. We are going to let a few hundred idiot criminals in Washington tell us what kind of car we can have, what our banking system will be like, what doctors we will see, what medicine we can have, how big our carbon footprint can be, what our salaries can be... When does it end?

OBAMA: Government can't do all of this. I'm the first one to acknowledge this. That's why I'm always puzzled when people go out there and creating this bogeyman about Obama, you know, wants government-run everything I don't want government to run stuff. I -- like I've said, I've got enough stuff to do. I've got North Korea and I've got Iran and I've got Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't know where people get this idea that I want to -- I want to run stuff or I want government to run stuff.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
Tell that to the people YOU FIRED at GM etc.............
He wants to and will run everything..

So um earlier today in another thread our resident lefty, was asked to comment on BO's mistakes.
To which he linked some old GWB videos?
So I am going to take moment here to list just a few of "The Ones" more glaring mistakes, and we'll see if our friend shows up in his defense...or cowers like usual.
BO criticized pork barrel spending in the form of 'earmarks,' urging changes in the way that Congress adopts the spending proposals. Then he signed a spending bill that contains nearly 9,000 of them, some that members of his own staff shoved in last year when they were still members of Congress.......
OOOPS
Asks his Cabinet to cut costs in their departments by $100 million -- a whopping .0027%!
OOOPS
In early February, the 2010 census was moved out of the Department of Commerce and into the White House, politicizing how federal aid is distributed and electoral districts are drawn.
OOOPS
Obama taps Nancy Killefer for a new administration job, First Chief Performance Officer -- to police government spending. But it surfaces that Killefer had performance issues of her own -- a tax lien was slapped on her DC home in 2005 for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help. She withdrew.
OOOPS
Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega went on a 50-minute anti-American rant, calling Obama "president of an empire." Obama didn't leave the room. "I thought it was 50 minutes long. That's what I thought," he said
OOOPS
"For months, the Obama administration and members of Congress have known that insurance giant AIG was getting ready to pay huge bonuses while living off government bailouts. It wasn't until the money was flowing and news was trickling out to the public that official Washington rose up in anger and vowed to yank the money back."
WHOA OOOOOOOPS
"Yes, Canada is not Mexico, it doesn't have a drug war going on. Nonetheless, to the extent that terrorists have come into our country or suspected or known terrorists have entered our country across a border, it's been across the Canadian border. There are real issues there." -- Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The 9/11 hijackers did not come across the Canada border
Errrrrr OOOPS
Rasmussen finds 58% of Americans believe the Obama administration's release of CIA memos endangers the national security of the United States.
OOOOPS
In their first meeting, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown gave Obama a carved ornamental penholder from the timbers of the anti-slavery ship HMS Gannet. Obama gave him 25 DVDs that don't work in Europe.
OOOOPS
Timothy Geithner nomination as Secretary of Treasury was almost torpedoed when it was discovered he had failed to pay $34,000 in Social Security and Medicare taxes. He also employed an illegal immigrant as a housekeeper. He was confirmed anyway.
OOOPS
"The Obama administration has directed defense officials to sign a pledge stating they will not share 2010 budget data with individuals outside the federal government." -- Defense News, 2/19
OOOOPS
"I've been practicing bowling. I bowled a 129. It was like the Special Olympics or something." -- Obama on "The Tonight Show"
OOOPS
Obama asked Congress for an extra $83.4 billion to fund operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, a special funding measure of the kind he opposed while in the senate. As a candidate, Obama promised to cut the cost of military operations.
Errrrrr um Uh heh......
Obama bows to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London.
OOOPS
It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah." -- An Obama aide
Double OOOPS
After saying he wouldn't have lobbyists in his administration, Obama made 17 exceptions in the first two weeks in office.
OOOPS
Firing Rick Wagoner as president of GM.
OOOOPS
Forced banks that didn't want TARP money to take it, then added on stipulations about pay and government control after the fact. Secretly forced Bank of America to buy Merrill Lynch, then allowed the bank to be criticized for overpaying.
OOOPS
"The United States government has no interest in running GM. Your [GM] warranty will be safe. In fact, it will be safer than it's ever been, because starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warranty." -- Obama
OOOOPS
This should give you SOMETHING to work with huh?
Oh and let us not forget the glaring LIE in my signature line.....

Nobody likes earmarks but when you have an imminent economic disaster to contend with and need to get a bill passed as quickly as possible, quibbling over earmarks is not an option. Plus, the Republicans "shoved" just as many earmarks into this bill than Democrats did!
Good. He just saved taxpayers $100 million.
Find by me.
And for this Obama said "It's my fault, I made a mistake." At least he can admit it.
What should Obama have done? Punch Ortega in the face? As much as you might not like it, Ortega is entitled to his opinion and I, for one, am glad that Obama listened respectfully.
And since then Obama has enacted tough limits on CEO compensation. It has been met with Republican whining and bitching.
You are talking about Napolitano here, not Obama. She was referring to other terror suspects who crossed the Canadian border.
And 73% of Americans think Bush was one of the worst Presidents in history, so what's your point about public opinion?
I shudder to think what Bush might have gifted.
So what? He is doing an excellent job.
We wouldn't want to tip our enemies to the large cuts that are coming due to the current economic crisis.
Funny joke. Not PC enough for ya?
Most of this went to Afghanistan. He has always said he would ramp up the operation in Afghanistan to root out the terrorists that Bush couldn't catch.
So what? He also admitted many of the mistakes America has made over the years. Oh, the horror!
Can you provide proof of this? I believe he only has former lobbyists in his administration, as do all Presidents.
An excellent move! That guy had his head up his ass and ran his company into the ground.
The stipulations about pay have incentivized banks to pay their loans back much sooner. It was a smart move. I'm not sure how Obama "allowed" BofA to be criticized for overpaying. It's a free country, critics are allowed to say whatever they want.
What's your point? If we're going to take ownership in GM shouldn't we honor people's warranties?

Way to stick to the party line, All Bush's Fault..... About GM guess you FAILED to read where he said "The United States government has no interest in running GM." Yet you CLEARLY point out how untrue that is. And your remark about Napolitano sorry it's still BO's job as CEO to OVERSEE what she says and does... Much like you cried Katrina was all GWB's fault although he didn't work at FEMA. The rest of your "answers" are nothing more than dodges and soundbyte replies, poo pooing any actual "mistake"..just what I expected from a brainless twit like yourself.

Right.
So, in your opinion "honoring warrenties" is the same as running a company? The warrenty work is performed by dealerships, not the government.
Napolitano made a gaff while making a speech and she quickly corrected her misstatement. That is completely different than the head of FEMA botching the government's response to a horrendous natural disaster, resulting in the deaths of many people.

The only Government that failed in New Orleans were the La. and N.O. govts.
Search your memory banks and you'll see the Nat. Guard helicopters overhead delivering supplies and rescuing citizens THE NEXT DAY!
FEMA normally shows to 3-5 days later, and they did.
The biggest non-GWB story ever is Katrina.
Stay away from Huffpo, honey.

I'm so sorry dear victim of public schooling and no advanced degree. Your reading comprehension is such that having a conversation with you is impossible. Again I will attempt to dumb this down for you.... BO RUNS GM HE SAID HE WASN'T GONNA and DIDN'T WANT TO..Yet is RUNNING GM... Another Blatant LIE like the one last week about.."not wanting government to run things as he is too busy"
