I have no doubt that the man in the video is passionate in his beliefs but he speaks of a time before science and common sense made it all but certain that a God, in the way our founding fathers saw one, probably doesn't exist. He has every right to go on believing in God but why should America be forced into his beliefs. It is extremely arrogant on this man's part to assume we will all fall in line with his beliefs.

No one is being "forced" to believe anything Nothing in the text of the link I posted, or in what the honorable gentleman said in any way establishes a religion or forces anyone to believe anything. The left is attempting to rewrite our history, and force its own beliefs on the rest of us. See Ye's attempt to force his religion on us in the CA legislature. See also the non-christian religion classes (I'm not taking about legitimate comparative religion classes) taught by state run junior colleges, and by local parks a & rec. departments.

You know what, you revealed your complete lack of objectivity and intelligence. There is zero scientific evidence that God does or does not exist. Hell, even our greatest scientific mind of the last century believed in the existence of God and an after life. His name was Albert Einstein. So, it is extremely arrogant, nay, it is repulsive to me that you attack people for their beliefs, just because you believe in nothing. Your belief system means I have the right to do to you what ever I wish, and the only consequences I would suffer would be if I got caught up in mans law. Kind of nice to know according to your belief system, which denies our Declaration of Independence, allows me to have my way with you if I so choose. Because basically you only support "might makes right." Fortunately for you I am not such a person.

Here is what Einstein had to say on the matter of God: "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly." You can clearly see that he did not believe in a personal God, and therefore did not believe in the Judeo-Christian form of God.
I do not believe in "nothing." I simply do not know what the truth is and neither do you. For you to believe in a Christian (or any organized religion's) absolutist view of God is naive. You can't admit that you don't know what's really out there!
I am not attacking the man's beliefs. I am repelling his attempts to establish his religion as "our country's religion"

Christianity is the source of the concepts and moral compass that guided the Founding Fathers, "like it or not!"
I'll accept Einstein as a physisist of the first order, and a gifted scientific visionary.
But I would no more go to him as a source of spiritual insight than I would ask him for advice re: my transmission.
Deniers such as yourself may try to change history, but we will not be quiet.

Saunterelle, I feel sorry for you. You have nothing to look forward to when your sorry life here on Earth is over. I will assume that, regardless of your protestations today, when you are near death, you will reach out to the Almighty for salvation. Like my father said, "There are no aetheists in foxholes!"

There is zero scientific evidence that God does or does not exist. Just as there is ZERO scientific evidence that bigfoot or the loch ness monster do or do not exist? Of course at some point there was zero scientific evidence that oxygen was part of water, but someone proved it to be the case. It just seems to me that if something this important CAN BE proven, it would have. I just like to stick to the fact that God is within those who have faith, and however they wish to express it is fine by me. Funny how Saunterelle takes the stance about if its not proven fact, it should not be forced upon us. Since there is also zero proven evidence that Obama will "fix the country", but we are "forced" to accept that he is??

We are not being "forced" into anything! Would you prefer to see our nation crumble?

So what? We live in a democracy, those are the rules as outlined by our Constitution. Our Constitution also expressly states that Religion and government should be kept separate. Declaring that America is exclusively a Judeo-Christian nation is a breech of our founding father's ideals. The loud mouth in this video should take his preaching to church where it belongs!

So.... if a majority voted to define marriage as... oh never mind.
I probably should have mentioned that I didn't see the video. The link is blocked on the system I'm on so I can't respond directly to it or your opinion on it at this time.
