I'm of two minds about Walter. Up until the 80s his was a voice of reason and integrity. But something changed in him sometime in the 80s and he became ... less impartial. Or not as impartial as we had come to expect.
Of course, I'll take him over any of the current crop of talking heads.
When he does pass on (and at 92 he can't have that many more years in him) an era will end. Walter, Dave and Chet, voices many of us grew up with. If nothing else, they are, or were, gentlemen.
