OK, this is a shameless plug asking all of you to contact our dear representatives in DC to help protect these historic treasures.

Please go through, check out all the videos. The Navy is doing NOTHING to conserve these, even turning down people who want to at least get some of the worst of it off and set some paint on the guns. Historically guns like these were painted to keep the salt air and water from doing what you see in the videos. With the acidic rain they are now exposed to, the damage is quite severe.
I don't really expect any of our dear anti-military federal reps to give a rats fart about it, but we need to try.
