I think the web admins over at the PeeDee must have their hands full.

Their "new" forum is rapidly turning into an unmanageable zoo. Replies are posting into threads out of chronological order. Some threads are reading top to bottom, others bottom to top. There is very little serious posting going on as pretty much nothing but gomers doing drive by comments on stories are what's showing up. And they are all kvetching about their posts not showing up or being censored.

Now this afternoon, the "link to story" on pretty much every item on their front page goes to a "page not found" error. And the PeeDee managed Petaluma360.com is completely missing. The index URL returns this message on screen....

"We're sorry, but the page you requested is no longer available.
Please use the site search or archive search to locate the article."

In web terms... that's really bad.

I didn't like the postings being out of order and some were fine. It was very frustrating to get anything going and then most of the feedback was wayy to radical. They wouldn't let me post at times so they could review and approve my posting?......I just didn't feel comfortable there. The PD messed up a good forum and now have a big mess ontheir hands.

I go back just to try and retrieve our own.....

Thank goodness TNG worked on this for us. I'm forever grateful because I thought I lost all of you. So what if we didn't agree, we had a place to disagree. I guess it all worked itself out.

looks like we escaped just in the nick of time. i hope the rest of our group can get out soon (jgaff, franc, et. al).

the new PD forum is collapsing as we speak. I kinda feel sorry for poor heather as i'm sure she'll take the fall for it all.

on the other hand i suppose as long as they can keep the pages loading they will make revenue from the ads and that will keep the bean counters happy at the PD even if the content is pure crap.
