I just followed a banner ad link on our forum to get my free Obama08 bumpersticker from MoveOn.org.
I filled out all the personal info and requested that they send me one sticker. I was directed to another page that requested this:

I checked $0 and submitted.
An error code came back:

Political donations have unusual requirements. Please fix the problems noted below:
Citizen You must certify that you are a U.S. citizen and agree to all the contribution rules. Please make sure you checked the checkbox underneath the description of contribution rules.
Occupation - Federal election law requires that donations include information on occupation and employer. You can enter 'None' if you are unemployed or 'Self-employed' if you are self employed.
Employer - Federal election law require that donations include information on occupation and employer. You can enter 'None' if you are unemployed or 'Self-employed' if you are self employed.
Amount - We're not sure how much you wanted to give! Please be sure to select a donation amount from the list.
Credit Card Number - Please enter a valid Credit Card number.
Expiration Please be sure to select an expiration month for your credit card using the menu next to the field for your credit card number.
Expiration Year - Please be sure to select an expiration year for your credit card using the menu next to the field for your credit card number.
Card Verification Code - You must provide your card verification code to donate. For Visa and Mastercard, This code is generally found one the back of the card, printed just after the number. For American Express, it is found underneath the raised numbers on the front of the card.
My request for a free bumpersticker would not go forward unless I left a valid credit card number and a whole dollar amount as a donation.
