I came across this story about a week ago, and found it quite interesting. So Obama wrote his prayer on a piece of paper and put it in the Western Wall. Then, supposedly, an Israeli student filched it and released it to a paper or two, on of which published a photo of it. Apparently, the paper, Maariv, says that the Obama campaign released photos or copies of the paper to them even before Obama went to the wall. It's an interesting and well-written story. What do you think?

I've said it before, the guy is smooth and shrewd. If the story about the pre-approval is correct, it is just one more example of his ability to manipulate the media and put form over substance.
Personally, if I had placed a prayer in the wall, I would have been outraged if it had been published.

ahhh, but for a publicity hound it is exactly the result he wanted.

Can you imagine if the prayer had been addressed to Allah? This is a non-issue.

Someone mentioned on another site (I think it was at Townhall) that the way he put it in there, he would have known (or should have known) anyway that somebody could easily find it.
