Here is a quote from an infamous person to let you see what I think about Obama's campaign.
"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think." Adolph Hitler.

Uh, James Earl Carter anyone? Just committed the single greatest act of treason by an ex-Pres. ever by revealing the number of Israeli nuclear warheads. This at a time when Israel's neighbors are furiously building their own nukes to use in a first-strike, as they have made abundantly clear. Talk about an ego gone mad- this clown is determined to improve his legacy, even if Tel Aviv disappears. He might start looking for Mossad agents in his closet. Moron.

"is just plain dumb. He was a lousy President when I served under him during my time in the military." Funny, the same would be said by countless soldiers today about GW Bush. Talk about dumb!? Every time Bush opens his mouth something dumb comes out. He butchers our language, stumbles in speeches, shows tremendous lack of confidence, and is basically overwhelmed by the job. Here's a balanced analysis of Bush's intelligence: youtube.com/watch?v=whhbPVrb5KM&feature=related some soldiers may say that. the vast majority would not. i served under his leadership, his father's, reagan's, and clinton's (if you can call it that). the only one i wasn't so proud of was william JEFFERSON clinton. i never felt that he was able to connect with the military. when he addressed the military there always seemed to be an underlying tone of disdain for us. whenever his speeches required him to laud the military his words rang hollow and you could tell it was painful for him to say the words. he came to ft. polk once, when we were conducting a major international exercise with lots of former Warsaw Pact nations. it was merely a photo op for him. his words rang hollow and anything but heartfelt. it's funny you should criticize president bush for his speech ability. do you not listen to obama when he is not aided by the written word? his remarks are chock full of um's, ah's, and er's. he speaks in circles and often makes little to no sense. why do you suppose he just wants to eat his waffle and not be bothered by reporter's questions? the guy can't speak. that's why. president bush is very confident in his abilities. obama appears more like a small child in his dad's suit playing dress up. he is not qualified for the job. he is not ready for prime time. i wouldn't hire him for the position of dog catcher in sebastopol. as far as your youtube video i had a good laugh. yes, some of the things the prez slips up on are quite funny. i'm sure you can put together clips of presidential slips from most presidents of the last few decades. but, i suppose if you rely on linda ronstadt to be your political compass then have at it. and as subdjoe said i don't think you watched this video beyond the first 30 seconds. otherwise, you may not have posted it. here are more videos for you: youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws&feature=relatedyoutube.com/watch?v=Sh6Gx1KrvTw

President Carter did what had to be done. The whole world knows the US has backed Israel with support and arms....what's new? If we expect other countries to disarm, then we must as well, no?

You know, Iran took over 50 hostages during the Carter administration. The Shaw was removed from power by the Ayatollah. Iran became a threat to the world under Jimmy Carter. All while he was playing footsy with the Kremlin to try and prevent the greatest President of modern times from being elected. Two helicopters crashed in the desert on a rescue mission. They were not equipped to fly in sand. We were incapable of rescuing our own people under that buffoon's administration. Military readiness sucked worse then it did under Clinton, and Clinton was terrible, cutting the military budget to pre-WWII levels. With the exact same results, a sneak attack by an aggressive people. Nothing like that occurred due to the Bush administration policies. 9/11 was a direct result of the Clinton policies, and every liberal and every American knew it well at the time. War was the result. And now you want to compare Bush to Carter? Carter was and still is a pussy. Bush is not.

President Carter should go back and do what he does best. Sit on his porch sipping iced tea or lemonade and watch his peanuts grow. Is and always will be incompetent. Plain and simple. Get that man a Billy Beer.

TNG, I'm glad that Bush instills so much confidence in you when he speaks to the military. Unfortunately, actions speak louder than words and the fact is that he and the Republicans couldn't care less about our veterans. Want proof? www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1808838,00.html

Articles are not proof of anything, yellow journalism is rampant in this nation again.
And, excuse me, but doesn't Congress hold the purse strings? Aren't they the ones that keep adding riders to bills and inflating the price but directing money away from where it is needed? You want proof, look at voting records, they tell more then some opinion in an article will.

"Articles are not proof of anything, yellow journalism is rampant in this nation again."
That's your response? Again you're denying the facts that are presented to you. The article from Time magazine clearly shows that Bush wanted to veto this bill that takes care of our vets. Are you seriously saying this didn't happen?? Unbelievable!

"Articles are not proof of anything, yellow journalism is rampant in this nation again." That's your response? Again you're denying the facts that are presented to you. The article from Time magazine clearly shows that Bush wanted to veto this bill that takes care of our vets. Are you seriously saying this didn't happen?? Unbelievable! And what facts would that be? I would say you are the one denying the facts, look at the $10 billion in riders. Bush should veto the bill. Anytime your party puts riders on for heating subsidies for the poor, wildfire fighting, road and bridge repair, and health research none of which is related to military spending, they are being disingenuous. Amercians have been asking them to stop such practices for decades, and to create bills that are responsible and deal with appropriations for one item only, i.e. military spending only on military bills. But, your party, the tax and spend party, never listens, because they like to put their grubby little hands on as much of our money as they can. If they feel these items are so important, and the purview of the federal government, then create bills specifically for that item and let them stand on their merits. The bill also contains $490 million for grants to local police departments, $451 million to repair roads damaged by natural disasters, $200 million for the space shuttle program, and $400 million for National Institutes of Health research projects. More pork. And again, if they feel these items are so important, and the purview of the federal government, then create bills specifically for that item and let them stand on their merits. But they won't. All of this, topped with the fact, not fiction, that the Democrats in congress are so much more intelligent then Bush, that they forgot to send along a major portion of the bill when it was sent to the White House. Yep, this article proves nothing at all. Except, perhaps, that you have a major bias towards Democrats, you are incapable of arriving at your own conclusions, and that the Democrats really aren't as smart as you think they are. All of which explains exactly why congress is suffering through the lowest approval ratings in history, at 16% approval. Care to toot your horn some more?
