I see that the snow ploughs are active up near Donner Pass. Darn that global warming!

I had several backpacking trips in the Sierras planned for this summer. However, most of the 10,000+ ft passes are still iced over. Maybe by August.....

Been snowing a couple days a week right here in my own area. Of course I am in Oregon, but it really should be Spring by now. I am not complaining, but I sure wonder where Al Gore gets his "information"...oh never mind.

A friend of mine has a vacation home in Tahoe, and a couple/three weeks ago had to drive in snow and wind...WHAT?! So weird!
My parents live in Idaho, and they have had very unusual cold and rainy weather, they are both sad since by fall it will be freezing again. Yes, that's why I don't move, couldn't handle that almost constant barrage of crappy weather!

There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Of course, if you lose your footing and slide 2,000 feet down an ice chute, all of the GoreTex and merino in the world won't save you.
