Reasons to Vote Democrat

A friend sent me this:

• I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I believe in all forms of diversity. Except diversity of opinion, of course.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I believe that activist liberal judges should create new laws that most Americans would never vote for. I mean, we can’t be wrong ALL the time…. can we?
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil company profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I believe that paying $4.00 a gallon or more is no reason to drill for the mountains of oil we are sitting on in THIS country. We wouldn't want to have to move a couple of polar bears or elk, now would we?
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq, I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as I am not offended by it.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death-row inmates alive.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I think that the name of God should not be tolerated in everyday life. The only religions that should be introduced into our language and legislation are Environmentalism, Global Warming and Barack Obama worship.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They were created in order to give people jobs. They need to break even and give the rest away to their employees and the government.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I believe we need a national health care system. Who needs specialists anyway? We'll be just fine undergoing surgery by GPs making $50k a year.
  
  
• I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain this Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I believe that the best strategy in war is defeat. It broadens the mind to learn Japanese, German, Russian and Arabic. Talk about multiculturalism!
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I’m mad that George W. Bush hasn’t caught Bin Laden. Everyone knows that Bin Laden is the only Islamic terrorist in the world.
  
• I’m voting Democrat because it looks like a Democrat has a chance to win this year, and I want to be right about something for once.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I’m not an individual. I’m a part of a community of racial, sexual and economical identity. After all, we are a global community, are we not? Screw patriotism!
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I’d rather have gas prices be easily influenced by world markets and countries who hate us rather than drill in the Anwar preserve set aside for the purpose of drilling. I think terrorists know how to use our money best.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I believe enemy combatants should not be tortured in any way for any reason. So it made a few of them squeal which enabled the allies to capture and kill many Islamic terrorists bent on destroying America. So what? It was only because they were waterboarded, and that’s so mean.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because we need to make the illegal aliens feel more at home by learning to speak Spanish. I think we should hand them welcome brochures that detail where to get free government services and free Ipods at the border too.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because having a picture of Jesus within 100 miles of me is offensive. Colored lights are offensive. Christmas trees are offensive. Hell, let’s just ban the whole holiday! Let’s put up lots of Ramadan decorations, more footbaths, more mosques and more Islam recruiting posters in our subways instead. Diversity is our strength!
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I like the government making all of my decisions for me. We aren’t smart enough to make them ourselves.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because supporting a person who chooses not to work is noble. Anyone who doesn’t take pity on these poor souls doesn’t have a heart.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I believe we should have other countries’ permission before we turn down our thermostats.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I care about the real victims of crime — criminals. After all, they had such a tough childhood.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I believe in Affirmative Action. I’m sure it would have changed Martin Luther King’s opinion that people should be judged by their character instead of the color of their skin.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I believe in minority rights (although I have no problem with the Chinese or Muslim form of squashing their rights), free speech (with regard to pornography but not conservative talk radio), environmentalism (who cares about Al Gore’s energy bills?) and diplomacy (but never backed by the threat of military force).
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because socialism needs another chance. Sure, it’s failed eleventy billion times throughout history, but that’s only because we haven’t tried it yet!
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I’m for “change.” Isn’t all change good?
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because Hollywood stars are almost all Democrats– and I love movies.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I think that disagreeing with a black person about anything is racism.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because all of the history books were written by fascists with an agenda. America has terrorized every country it ever set foot in, and stole candy from little babies.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I hate Bush. He caused 9-11, Katrina, and the nail I broke this morning.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I don’t believe private citizens should have the right to bear arms, not even in order to protect themselves from harm.
  
  
• I’m voting Democrat because I think terrorist Palestinian dictators are more benign than Israeli presidents.

Many businesses, big and small have already been stamped out or barely squeaking by during bush's reign.....

I think Republicans will feel the pinch if Obama/Biden win because this team will have to fix the deficit again!

I'm voting Democrat so that my dividend taxes will increase once the tax breaks expire.

I just love paying double taxation on dividends, especially at the highest rates.

I'm also hoping that the Democrats significantly raise my capital gains taxes.

Tell me how the Republicans have benefitted business in the last 7 years? Tell me how they (Republicans) expect to pay down the deficit created in the last 7 years?

In case you missed his speech last night here it is. It give you all the reasons you need to vote for the Democrat this year. Pay special attention when he details what "change" means and explains how he will pay for these changes. As you can see he is no empty suit.

Not that I or ANYONE in their right mind could listen to 45 minutes of drivel from this empty suit joker.

But at around the 25/26 minute mark he does the "usual" he promises "Affordable College Tuition"...but not HOW he intends to do this......as Saunterelle promises he does...

And then he goes on to promise to make "those evil insurance companies...stop discriminating"...LOL HOW! Again another empty useless waste of time energy and Saunterelle once again sucking bandwidth....

This guy is the biggest empty suit patsy ever run by the puppet masters..

I didn't hear him explain how he was going to pay for any of it and I watched the whole speech.

In fact during the post speech punditry Susan Estrich commented that the speech laid out the "Mondale like laundry list" of Democrat points, but that he had made absolutely no indication of how it was all to be paid for. Pretty sharp criticism from one of the farthest left political operatives wandering around these days. Juan Williams, a very liberal, black man who I've always held in high regard because he is a straight shooter, was equally unpraiseworthy. Of the Fox punditry only Bill Kristol thought it a good speech with substance... and he's an elitist conservative. What little of the MSNBC and CNN punditry I watched was effusive, as would be expected. The major networks were somewhat mixed in their reviews.

The biggest empty suit moment of the night for me was when he attacked McCain for doing nothing about energy independence for the 26 years he's been in Congress. He didn't bother to mention that he and his running mate, Joe Biden, have a combined 39 years in the Senate (Biden having 36 of those years) and they haven't done a damned thing either.

And 85,000 attended..... well some 20K of that was convention delegates and the party faithful who were seated on the field. The masses in the cheap seats and up in nosebleed country were lured, in part, by the star studded multi-act concert given prior to the event. Just like Berlin and just like Portland.

Obama is getting maybe a three point pop in the daily tracking polls, when he should be getting ten to fifteen. While there may be some judgement being withheld (particularly by independents) until after the Republicans meet next week, the numbers don't lie.

The Kool Aid he is peddling is not selling.
