Funny, isn't it? Some of the same people who want to deny the civil and constitutional rights of the rest of us want to be able to exercise theirs in The Hallowed Halls of Congress.
Of course some of the usual suspects in the strong anti-civil rights crowd are horrified at the idea, I guess they figure that members of Congress are not responsible enough to carry.
Which brings up the question - uif they are not responsible enough to carry, how can they be responsible enough to be in Congress?

It's widely known, except by liberals, that DiFi has carried for years - even as she sponsored the draconian gun laws in SF and California. I think it's just another symptom of the overbearing sense of superiority some legislators have. As if successfully running for office means something.

I think Don Perata (former state senator) also carried ... He did. His reason on the application was "death threats." Threats that he had never documented with any LEA. I believe he was also able, because of being in the Legislature, to bypass the classes and qualification everyone else has to undergo. Before he got termed out he did let his CCW lapse.

Didn't he also overuse state issue vehicles or something. I recall some kind of controversy? Well, there were a bunch of things: www.ktvu.com/news/18945025/detail.htmlOf course, he had covered his tracks just well enough that the feds decided to drop it. online.wsj.com/article/SB124347031019460663.html
