Two freakin' years and the guy is still on a learning curve? How much time does she think he needs? Would she give anyone working for her that much slack? I mean, if her director or hair dresser, or personal assistant needed two years or more to learn the job, would that person still have a job? Or would they have been told after a month or so "Sorry, I have to have someone who can do the job."

The Big O may have lost her eyelashes over Obama, but most people can see through him and see what he is....an empty suit whose "learning curve" is pretty damn slow. Those who yapped that Sarah Palin did not have the experience to be President failed to look at what they willingly foisted on the country and admit he never even managed a lemonade stand and still thought he was ready for prime time.

Unless someone has held the office of president, no one has the experience, period. I believe what Oprah is referring to here is the level of respect in general not given by negative critics who use "experience" as a premise to bash his every move.

Mink, that is a job with zero allowance for a learning curve. But nicely spun. Hmmm....by your reasoning there, all the Bush Bashing you and the rest of the lefties did was totally uncalled for because he was still on the learning curve, right? Can't have it both ways.

Obama does not even understand the BASICS of being President. He does understand partying, travel, bowing to foreign dignitaries (to America's dismay and to derision by those dignitaries he bows to), reading from a TelePrompTer, more partying, fund raising for community causes....but other than that, pretty much a dunderhead. I see nothing to respect in the man. Respect for the OFFICE of President, but not the man in it at present. Yeah, the Left loved bashing President Bush with the most hateful, disgusting and derisive comments they could drudge up. Not a word was spoken against them by their own. Not ONE word! Pound sand, Mink. I am not buying your spin or Oprah's.

Mink, didn't we here this exact same argument from progressives as they dismissed Sarah Palin's experience during the 2008 campaign?
