President Obama is using the occasion of a prime time speech on the budget impasse to reach across the aisle and slap the Republicans up the side of the head:
Setting aside for the moment the fact that the President got his daughter's age wrong, let's look at this. Both of his girls are still in grammar school - albeit, a very exclusive grammar school. No public schools for these girls, thank you! However, the President's statement would only apply to a term paper or an essay that was assigned in advance. The rest of the homework is assigned one day and due the next. Or, did I miss something there.
Also, mark down Wednesday's date so you can remember when it was that Obama first brought his daughters into the national campaign. Someone will say something about them at some point in the next 17 months and Obama will quake with righteous indignation demanding his family be left alone.
There's that old double standard again!

The Republicans have responded to President Obama's (non)budget speech.
The Pelosi/Reid Congress totally ignored the requirement to pass a budget. The Democrat Senate has gone nearly 800 days without even taking up a budget. Yet, President Obama would have you believe that it is the Republicans who are standing in the way of passing a budget. Sorry, Barry, even though the press won't call you on this blatant lie, the rest of us know the truth.
