Here's an interesting chart, although dating back to 2001, of people's responses to the question, "Are any firearms now kept in or around your home? Include those kept in a garage, outdoor storage area, car, truck, or other motor vehicle." chartWhat you see right away is that more than half of the households in Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, South Dakota, West Virginia, Idaho, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama and North Dakota admit to having guns in the house. Meanwhile, in New York, Connecticut, Guam, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and District of Columbia, less than 20% admit to the same. Next, I'll do a cross between gun ownership and presidential elections. BTW, in 2001, only 21% of respondents in California admitted to having a gun in the house. With California's arcane gun ownership laws, I wonder what the real percentage is.
