Isn't it called "The Dismal Science"? Besides, bond markets look toward long term stability. Those last three words do not describe what the state legislators attempt on a yearly basis. Redistrict now. And yes, I did read the articles as to why redistricting won't work as we hope it will. But it might hold off the pitchfork, tar & feather crowd another ten minutes. In the meantime I got to sharpen my pitchfork.

We need real redistricting. Each county to be a district with one state senator, and members of the assembly apportioned by population, with each county having at least one (1) member of the assembly. That way rural counties get some real clout in the Senate, but the Assembly will still be dominated by the costal cities like SL and SF.
I'll find some kettles for the tar.

Arnold should veto the budget bill and force the LEgislature to at least talk about real reform. It's full of new taxes, additional discretionary spending and does nothing else other than to paper over the current problem. It is, essentially, nothing more than kicking the can down the road to next year.
