Barack Obama must be getting desperate because he has resorted to the tired Democrat tactic called, "Scare the Seniors." This is from FactCheck.orgYou will recall that, when President Bush's Social Security Panel was getting ready to release their recommendations, a favorite tactic of the Left was to claim that seniors currently on retirement would either: (a) have their benefits cut; or (b) have their benefits at risk depending on what the stock market did. Both of these are lies - blatant, partisan lies - but they are accepted by the progressives because it moves the ball forward. Someone please tell me why Obama should not be branded as a liar.

Liar, or made his point in a inarticulate manner.
Do you think it's a good idea to invest your retirement money in the market?

Yeah, it was such a good plan....that is why it didn't pass in a Republican Congress

Do you think it's a good idea to invest your retirement money in the market? I've got my money there. If you have any kind of retirement plan at work, or an IRA or 401(k) of your own, where do you think your money is? Unless you are less than ten years from retirement, the stock market is still your best bet. Witness the fact that the market has already recovered from its precipitous drops on Monday and Tuesday. While the market was down, I'm sure my fund managers were scooping up the bargains, ready for the resurgence and even more earning for me. If you are going to invest your retirement funds in the market, the worst thing you can do is watch it every day. Only the professional traders do that. I only look at my quarterly statements. The absolute long-term trend in the market is up. Can you tell I'm bullish on the market? But, back to the issue: "Scare the Seniors" is a tired Democrat ploy that's been used for over 30 years. Anytime a Republican president talks about reforming Social Security, the Dems drag out this trope. Yet, the Left has no ideas of its own to reform a system that is heading off the cliff. Obama is a liar.

Obama insists on repeating the lie that McCain would invest all of your Social Security in the market. This is from FactCheck.orgThe "candidate of change" my eye! Obama is playing from the same, old, tired liberal play book that we've all heard for the past thirty years.
