Kinda scary alright. Crediting prayer for helping get elected to public office? I don't care who the one being thanked is, the idea scares the heck out of me; someone exhibiting symptoms of being religiously brainwashed could be in the White House??? Can I take solace in the fact that Palin was playing to the crowd in the way she chose her words? Or does she really buy into it? A witch hunting pastor? Just the latest in unbelievable acts by a religious leader. Even if totally 100% true, how much farther from reality is that than the fact that some claim to speak to ... God? If I was walking through the psych ward and passed two long term guests, one who told me he thinks witches are real and aims to rid the world of them, and the other told me he speaks to god, I would not be at all surprised. Then we hear the same from religious people and we are supposed to take them seriously. I think not.
As this campaign has shown once again, religion just causes problems for everyone.

I know what you mean Saunterelle, this is worse than the people who believe that how they arrange their furiture brings them good luck and prosperity and try to pass legislation requiring it in our state offices. Or the people who write their prayes on little flags an let them flutter in the wind as continuing prayer. And of course those who sit around beating drums and chanting to influence whatever spirits or powers to help the cause of the week. Oh, but those are always tolerant, educated and cosmopolitian leftists, so I guess that is OK.

Saunterelle, I saw this too. This is the preacher or pastor that palin is proud to say helped her become governor. I truly think this may be one of many reasons that mccain doesn't want her to talk to reporters! I hope they show where they speak in tongues..... And that compares to the hate filled bigotry of Reverend White how?

That would surely scare some folks out of being so gung-ho for Palin! Ah, form over substance. A bigot gets a pass, but someone following their beliefs gets attacked. I see how it is. So much for religious freedom versus preaching hate from the pulpit.

Let me make sure I've got this straight: It's OK for the Left to disparage Sarah palin because she participated in a ceremony that has been construed as non-Christian by the sage of the progressive movement, Keith Olbermann. But, it's not OK to publish a picture of Barack Obama in what could be construed as Muslim dress because it would be "fear-mongering" and "devisive politics." Did I get that right?
