Most of us remember how the Mark Foley sex scandal was used by the Democrats in their push to take over the Congress in 2006. Many people didn't follow the story when Foley was later acquitted of the charges - the damage was already done. Now, Foley's replacement, Tim Mahoney, was caught canoodling with a staffer, and " it's a private matter." Am I the only one who sees the blatant hypocrisy here?

Gaffney, the progressives are NEVER hypocritical - after all, they have relative morality on their side. Moral is whatever they say it is at that moment, rather like Humpty Dumpty:
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,' it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.' 'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master - that's all.'

Madame Speaker has been making noises about an ethics committee investigation, which would no doubt be flummoxed until long after the election.
I wonder if she is planning an ethics investigation into Barney Frank's long term live in lover who was a senior FM exec in the 1990's while Barney was busy writing policy for Fannie and Freddie on the House Banking and Finance committee?

And now there seems to be a second / concurrent mistress. I wonder if this moron was paying her hush money as well? So much for wiping out that "culture of corruption" in Congress, eh Nancy?
