When I read that, I immediately thought of Supervisor Efren Carrillo. I wonder if only wearing underwear shorts and sox, carrying two Plinys. I drop by the woman who lives across the street from me at about 3 am.. She lost her husband a few years ago, lives alone in a big house, and I'm sure she wants to have sex with me (sic)... Yes, Politicians are ranked around ambulance chasing lawyers and used car salesmen... Right now I'm thinking of what is best for the country... That's why I vote 100% Republican.. Not that I agree with them, But I feel they are the best hope for now... to protect our freedom and the Constitution... Only the Elite prosper under Socialism... The Efren story I have read about here and there. It would seem that his limited power fed his ego and he crossed the line offering his unwanted affection, or affliction, or... Yes, sick indeed. Good thing he didn't break into someone else's home that was armed, he may not still be here. Honestly, I don't care if Elmo is the president so long as he gets the job done. BTW, don't you wish Mink was still here? She would tackle this political subject with you in great length, not me, not my thing.

I just today dropped by the forum after being awol for a few weeks and was stunned to see the post about Mink. I am really sorry to hear about her passing....even though it may have appeared that I would not care due to my ongoing interchanges with her here. She did indeed seem to be a caring and and nice person, with differing views that sometimes seemed to me to be due to blindness to the views of those who did not agree with her opinions. But then, that is why we are all on this forum, right? Personally, I tried to get to "know" her via a few personal messages, and we did have some nice conversations in the PM setting. I am indeed sorry that she felt intimidated and wanted her to be more frequent here, and perhaps opening up to other views and considering them, even if not agreeing with them. She did seem rather naive and that may explain some of her views. Now that she is gone, I guess we will be less for not knowing her better. Rest in peace, Mink. You will be missed.

I forgot to thank you, JMO, for providing the information, sad though it was. You must have known her personally in order to be advised of her passing. That means I feel the need to offer you my sincere condolences as well. I am sorry if some of my posts to Mink offended you, and I certainly hope you, as well as Mink, saw through the online banter and realized our exchanges were not personal but robust exchanges of opinions and ideas. Bless you, JMO, and thanks for your input and kindness.

DWD, nice posts! I did not know her in person exactly, but when I left here we purposely connected on another platform without anonymity. I never misrepresented myself in the forum, I don't know anyone in real life here which is why I used to like it. It was a fun place to debate and share with others in what would hopefully be respectful banter and helpful insights. Once those things started to dissipate I decided not put myself out there for the tough fight, took way too much energy with little reward. She was the only person I revealed my identity with and that was a stretch for me, I am a very private person. Mink was also very private and we vowed never to expose each other's identity and as far as I know she kept her word, and I am keeping mine. :)The Internet can be a bit scary when dealing with people you don't REALLY know. We were on the PD forum something like 2-3 years before TNG created this forum, we had a lengthy history. I felt compelled to share with you all that she passed incase you might be wondering where she was, she didn't run away, or tuck her tail. She had a lot to contend with and then died, sucks I think. We touch others in so many ways, especially with technology as it is today. Things we say, do, and write can make a difference in another's life, and for me, Mink left behind some laughs and I respect her for hanging in there most of the time respectfully when things got tough here. She also had heart, and that is something the world needs more of, in my opinion. Thank you for your kind words.
