I have waited some time to post this to protect Mink’s identity and felt now was a good time. Some of us are from the old PD forum from YEARS ago and debated with Mink from then forward. I got to know Mink a bit more through another Internet platform and feel a true sense of loss that she has passed even though I didn’t really know her. She was kind and generous as much as she could be. I know she sent someone here a small bit of cash when they were struggling because her heart was big.
She didn’t always respond to some of the posts here because she was chicken, or couldn’t hold her own, but instead she had a family and ailing mother to take care of, her plate was full. Please be respectful and if you are spiritual say a prayer for her and her family. I will miss her, and love reading through some of her old posts. She held her own and she stood by what she believed in even when she was out numbered. <she loved the challenge> I hope she is stirring it up wherever she may roam… Xx
<The songs below she had posted in the music thread and they seemed to apply>
This she did!
And wherever she is...
Going through the old music thread she mentioned a couple of times how much she loved this album. To send her off!
Appreciate every day and those you love.

Nice post. Some in this forum disliked Mink's political opinions so much they didn't see the whole being, too bad really.

I saw a lot of hate in Mink, especially for President GW Bush...
Hopefully that hate didn't destroy her...

Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. I find this post sincerely interesting because... what is your opinion on Obama? Let's be honest. Mink fought against some pretty tough opponents in this forum and likely felt she had to have big opinions to be heard. She was a kind person, her opinions about President Bush were just that, opinions. I hate politics for a plethora of reasons, one being that many have such strong views that think they are 100% correct and others are just plain dumb. Huh, well, like I have posted before unless one is working in the White House and has inside information I don't buy anyone's OPINION, though I will consider it to see if there is any probability/validity in it. Mink was much more than a Bush hater.<sounds funny> I think she did her best to leave a positive mark in this world and from what I have gathered she always had a open heart. I think if we can get through all of life's challenges, disappointments and losses and still have "heart" that is a big accomplishment. I find it challenging myself to try to find the good in things sometimes, but I have discovered that only seeing the negative makes me even more miserable and those around me too. Life is short. I am glad to have had the opportunity to debate with her and the chance to observe that she offered much to this world we live in. Hating Bush and debating here I think was just an outlet to vent and look how she stirred the pot. Many of you would have been bored if you didn't have her here to debate with. No worries, she was never lost in hate.

Nothing here, JMO... Move along..
I find Barack Obama, true in what he believes in.. I do admire him for that and some of the things he stands for... He wants a new world order where there is no poverty, war, and pestilence. He wants one benevolent government ending the Haves and Have Nots.. I believe he truly believes mankind can do better.
The problem with him and his academia cohorts are, that they live in an idealistic world thinking that things can always be discussed and reasoned out. They really have no clue on how to run a government. I find him naive and dangerous in today's world.
My greatest wish would be a 60 vote majority in the Senate come 2015 and have President Obama impeached and removed from office for high treason... Really a sad affair for the first American of African decent to hold that office...
As for Mink, I will not say anything other than I hope she has found Peace.

To to be honest, I don't feel we will ever have a government that will work effectively together, no matter the puppet at the head of the table. I loathe politics, and I no longer trust that any of our leaders in charge will find a amicable resolution for anyone. They have all acted like spoiled rotten, narcissistic children. I think we're screwed, end of story. I hope she has too, as well as the grieving family she has left behind. Two weeks before she passed she met her last newborn grandson. Very sad.

Didn't think Mink was that old. As she didn't seem to know about the history of Calvin Coolidge and how he fixed the country's debt.
One such statesman is our country’s 30th President, Calvin Coolidge. During President Coolidge’s administration, he sought to provide the American people with a more efficient, less obtrusive form of government; during his term, taxes were cut down again and again — by 1927, only the richest 2 percent of taxpayers paid any federal income taxes. Equally important to Coolidge was a policy of common sense and sanity in the fiscal realm; he balanced the national budget and maintained a surplus; he repeatedly vetoed spending bills he found to be incompatible with basic economic values — going so far as to famously veto the McNary-Haugen Farm Relief Bill — a 1920’s-era stimulus of sorts, which Coolidge found to be incompatible with the American values of sanity, thrift and economic freedom.

When I read that, I immediately thought of Supervisor Efren Carrillo.
I wonder if only wearing underwear shorts and sox, carrying two Plinys. I drop by the woman who lives across the street from me at about 3 am.. She lost her husband a few years ago, lives alone in a big house, and I'm sure she wants to have sex with me (sic)...
Yes, Politicians are ranked around ambulance chasing lawyers and used car salesmen...
Right now I'm thinking of what is best for the country... That's why I vote 100% Republican.. Not that I agree with them, But I feel they are the best hope for now... to protect our freedom and the Constitution...
Only the Elite prosper under Socialism...

Sadly, I think the days of one person making that big of a difference are long gone.
