That was a big theme in the primaries - if you vote against Obama you must not want to see a black in the white house. You yourself have raised that - if Barry looses it will be because of racism - implying that voting aginst him is racist. It is still a common theme with many of his supporters. It hasn't been a blatant "You are a racist if you don't support him" but more like what you posted in another thread, that if he looses it is because of racism.
Basically his racist card trumped Hills sexist card.

subdjoe, I am not sure you get my exact point.
I have said in the past we should vote for who best suits our values, and conscience and that's it.
I thought I made my point clear with: (incase you missed it)

I don't think if because one doesn't vote for Obama they are racist, good grief! I was making the point in many parts of this country people won't vote for him BECAUSE in their minds he is "black" and they dislike anyone who is black regardless of ability etc. And, to further the paranoia in some circles if he is elected the "blacks" are gonna take over. I hate irrational thought, it drives me NUTS!
Anyway. off for the night to do a Halloween thing. Hope you all get some of your favorite treats.

I disagree. The only place he must battle against racist views is in his own party. The people in the Republican party will vote for McCain, not because he is white, but because he is a Republican.

Regardless of how bad it gets, I won't play the Streisand card (threatening to leave the country when idiots get elected). Instead, I'll do whatever I can to encourage people to vote these stooges out of office in 4 years. Chances are things will be so bad in 4 years that moderates/centralists will again want change and the tides will reverse. Both major parties are so -'d up that they are destined for failure. That is not why I am considering it. I am considering it because I am tired of the cat calls people put out calling others racist because they won't vote for Obama. I am sick to death of this bullshit, it is really starting to piss me off to no end. Bolverk, I understand your fustration. I meant no disrespect. I just personally believe in fighting (peacefully) for this country.

subdjoe, I am not sure you get my exact point. I have said in the past we should vote for who best suits our values, and conscience and that's it. Exactly how I feel. If the best person is a Democrat, I'll vote for them. If the best is a Republican, Libertarian, Constitution Party, etc. I'll vote for them. In this election, neither of the top players strikes me as the best.
