I think they will have too much cleaning up of the current admin. to do anything drastic, given the economy. Some how I doubt that. We know that all the O's will certainly be in place on the keyboards of the computers.

I think they will have too much cleaning up of the current admin. to do anything drastic, given the economy. You know, Mink, that excuse will only last so long. FDR was fortunate and was able to parlay that line into a third term. Nowadays, with the Internet and the 24-hour news cycle, it'll be lucky to last until 2010. It should be entertaining, however, to see Barney Frank blame the meltdown of Fannie and Freddie on a lack of regulation by the previous administration. The press is guaranteed to gobble it up, like a pigeon following a breadcrumb. Greenspan already admitted it was a lack of regulation just a few weeks ago.

Greenspan already admitted it was a lack of regulation just a few weeks ago. Even you, Mink, will recall the numerous posts here on this very board, where you are a moderator, regarding the House hearing on a report from the federal regulators. the report recommended additional oversight on Fannie and Freddie because they were getting too big and unnwieldly. Please tell us your recollection of the hearings and their results.

Click here and scroll down to Reply #4 to watch the YouTube video of the House hearing. Not, a right-wing blogger's version of the hearing, but C-Span's. Get back to me after you watch the video.

No, this was your point. There was no date listed to decipher that surefire, but at least we know ahead of time. We know nothing of what Mccain is planning.

Hey Mink, this is for you so you know what I said:
equivocate verb [-cating, -cated] to use vague or ambiguous language in order to deceive someone or to avoid telling the truth.
The synonym: Lie

Still no response from Mink. Does that explain the new user named "Mink2"? From what she said on the What have you done with Mink thread, she has been buried at work and took the Mink2 to post from work. near as I can figure anyway.
