Really? Then why have you still not admitted you were wrong about going to war with Iraq? Isn't it the same situation? Making the call based on the information you had at the time. Again with the apples and oranges. If you equate those two things as the same situation, then you are so far off base you should get a new compass. Going to war in Iraq, by the way, was an action of national policy calling for regime change in Iraq signed by Bill Clinton in 1996. Given Saddam's history and his continued evasion of the inspectors, there was ample cause well prior to when we actually went in. Nice try.

You know full well that trying to link Clinton to Bush's attack on Iraq is dimwitted.
The inspectors were doing their jobs. The reason they didn't find WMDs is because there were no WMDs. Is that so hard to understand? Our entire premise for invading their country was wrong and we because the laughing stock of the entire world.
Did Palin break the code of ethics? It is really a matter of opinion. BigDog is right that it is apples to oranges. With Iraq, we had a measurable test to determine if our actions were right or wrong. Did Saddam have WMDs like we claimed or did he not? In Palin's case it isn't so clear. One bi-partisan group thought she acted unethically while another investigator thought she didn't. So, no, I won't admit I was wrong because it is still unclear.

It wasn't yellow cake......here we go AGAIN.... www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200499,00.html www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/Iraq_WMD_Declassified.pdfwww.news24.com/News24/World/Iraq/0,,2-10-1460_1528363,00.html www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/30/AR2006063001528.htmlSNIP* The classified overview of chemical munitions says that U.S. forces have found about 500 shells, canisters or other munitions containing the chemical weapons. A Chemical munition IS WMD no matter how you wish to spin it. FOUND IN IRAQ 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium
1,500 gallons of chemical weapons agents
17 chemical warheads containing cyclosarin (a nerve agent five times more deadly than sarin gas)
Over 1,000 radioactive materials in powdered form meant for dispersal over populated areas
Roadside bombs loaded with mustard and "conventional" sarin gas, assembled in binary chemical projectiles for maximum potencyNo matter what "Colin Powell" said he was specifically looking for THESE WMD's WERE FOUND INSIDE IRAQ. So saying stuff like "No WMDs' were found" is a straight out lie. S'okay your ignorance is bliss.

You know full well that trying to link Clinton to Bush's attack on Iraq is dimwitted. Just like your going off topic to avoid the issue is dimwitted. I expect much better of you. You've managed to take the discussion completely off Governor Palin and re-direct it to Bush. Where is the moderating staff here?

Sitting back and enjoying your give Saunterella a spanking, Big Dog. Keep up the good work. So far as I'm concerened, Saunterella is making the case about progressives for us - whineing, bigoted, hate-filled, malcontented, guilt ridden socialists who are willing to spend everyone elses money to asuage their guilt.

Why no comments on Bush himself stating that no WMDs were found?? You seem to be content ignoring the elephant in the room.

Saunterelle, get over bush. He didn't run in this election. He will be out of office shortly. Of course, I'm sure that at this time next year you will still be bashing him. Smite

Ripples from the damage Bush has wrought on our country will be felt long after he is out of office. I'm sure you'd like to simply forget about his presidency because you voted for him, twice.
I was responding to Max's response to my simile. His comment was not true so I had to slap him with the truth, straight from the mouth of his favorite President. That's gotta hurt.
