Hmmm... that was about as intelligent a response as I would expect from you Mink. Heck, you probably did not even read the article or even have a clue to who Michael Steele is.

I'll totally disregard Mink's non-answer, a trick she has perfected, and continue to develop this discussion. A contributor to ChronWatch, a conservative website based in SF, explains why he feels Obama will be re-elected in 2012: Remember when Dick Gephardt promised that the 1986 amnesty would be the last one we would need? If my memory is correct, illegal immigration has skyrocketed since then, landing us in the soup we're now in. Before Saunterelle jumps on me with both boots, I have consistently said that I have no problem with legal immigrants who either come here to work or come here to assimilate into our culture. I do, however, have a big problem with illegal immigrants who remain outside the mainstream culture of America, but demand full rights and accessibility to services. Look at the Thomas Paine video I posted in the "Second Revolution" thread. The term "diversity" itself is devisive.

JGaffney, I agree with you about illegal immigration. I do not support amnesty like both candidates did. Actually, John McCain seems to have supported the idea MORE than Obama.
