... that HATES Feinswine and Boxer! I couldn't believe there were such liberals in CA. She told me that crime victims, such as herself, in SF were treated like insignificant peons during Feinswine's rein as major in SF.
I'd glad to see that there are some liberals out there that acknowledge all the elitist evil that Feinswine and others promote.
While this woman did vote for Obama and is generally on the far left side (except on self defense, where she is perhaps moderate), she also told me that she respects Alan Keyes and would support him if he ran.
It was refreshing to talk to someone on the far left that kept an open mind, and was willing to admit faults among those that think like her on issues. And yes, she does hate Bush too... but Bush is hardly a traditional conservative.
Most of the people I meet at my wine club from the left are not this open minded.

surefire, as one the most balanced posters in this forum your comment sort of surprised me. Not everyone is on the far left, or right. In fact, most people I know in my personal life are somewhere in the middle, but then I suppose that's by my own choosing. I have never liked surrounding myself by closed mindedness, I really like to see all points of view and weigh them out carefully, it makes for a much more interesting life. But, hey, that's just my opinion... ;D

True, JMO. Most people, around 80% fall very near the center of the political spectrum. In this test: www.politicalcompass.org/index I usually fall within 3 marks of the center, usually shading towards about 4 o'clock toward the right, libertarian side. Some day, depending on my mood I will actually be a mark or two left of center. The problem is with the news reporting, the MSM doesn't usually bother with the vast center, it give almsot all its attention to the far fringes. And, I hate to say it, but since it is the far fringe left that makes the most noise, it gets the most press. Then, to appear to be "fair", we get the opposing view, usually expressed by the least articulate, least educated bubba they can find. If you watch a crew at a gun range looking for someone to interview, they will always take the guy in the camos and tactical gear with the black rifle over the well groomed guy in jeans and sport shirt with his family and a few .22s. And they NEVER will interview his wife. They might, in fact usually will, get some footage of a kid with a gun, and frame it so you don't see the parent just a few feet away giving training and instruction so they can give the impression that kids with guns are always unsupervised.

Subdjoe hit the nail on the head. The far fringes sell more... so they get covered more.

To believe otherwise is actually the more close minded approach.
