I was a little incredulous at the presumptiveness of the "Office of the President Elect" until I researched it. The office exists under the GSA and has since 1963. This transition is, however, the first time I can recall the "office" being flaunted so thoroughly.
As to Senator Biden... he has clearly been gagged and is being kept out of the public eye and ear, particularly since his post election remarks about being a "hands on" Vice President.

As I was going through the news, a little icon caught my eye. It was attached to a story from the Guardian UK, about Obama's picks for his Security Team. Here is the photo: An interesting pose to be sure. Do you think she was subconsciously sending us a message?

Thanks for doing the research BigDog. It seems like Bush has checked out early and Obama has taken over to start trying to clean up his mess.

Yes, thanks for the research The Big Dog.
It seems like the media is spending too much time focusing on the incoming administration rather then the completion of this terms office.
This is the first time I can recall where a President-Elect has actually been so disrespectful of the outgoing administration and actually sought the spotlight to the detriment of the sitting president. Regardless of the beliefs of the people or Obama himself, we still have a President and the President-Elect is supposed to respect that.

Thanks for doing the research BigDog.You're welcome, of course. What part of the left field corner did you come up with that from? the Bush administration, in particular Secretary Paulson and Chairman Bernanke, are very much out front and leading. That's their job. Bush seems to be standing back and letting his people do what he has tasked them to do. In business school that is called "management". The incoming Obama administration has no power and no say in anything until January 20. He can talk all he wants to and propose how he'd like it to be, but at the end of the day until the calendar inevitably turns, it is just talk and nothing more. You can't have it both ways, after all. In one breath we have the left telling us that Barack is already taking charge, but in the next breath it's Bush's mess so nothing can stick to Barack. I'd wager that game is going to go on until at least the 2010 mid-term elections. In so far as it being Bush's mess... do you really want to go back over that ground again? It's been conclusively proven many times in these pages as to the who, what, when, where, and how of the meltdown. That you continually choose to ignore that would be almost insulting if it weren't so downright funny.

my bad. i thought everyone already knew about the creation of the office of prez elect. my point was that never has it been so exploited. i can't recall ANY president elect using it until now.
guess it's all part of the "change."
