Hell, I had an obviously inert cartridge (case, bullet, no primer, and drilled through the case) confiscated. And I got frisked. In fact, I had a church key type opener in my pocket once and got frisked because of it. I wonder if Ted Nugent would have been treated the same way. www.comcast.net/articles/entertainment-eonline/20090115/b79312/

I don't see the double standard here, but I guess it is "better safe than sorry", right??

Mink, the double standard is that if you, or Big Dog, or I, or damn near any ordinary, average citizen had been caught with a grenade, dummy or not, we would not have made the flight. Or likely any flight in the next week. We would be guests in very substandard accomodations courtesy of the State or Federal government. It wouldn't matter what we had to do. It wouldn't matter that the arrest, court appearances, fees, fines, and jail time would cost us damn near everything. But this guy has a name so he gets a pass.

I am surprised how nonchalant Knoxville was about packing such an item, and it does seem the consequences of his actions were soft. If he was of Middle Eastern descent you can bet he'd be treated differently!

Knoxville is an asshat who pushes the envelope to the max for his own profit, this new episode of stupidity will be his next million dollar blockbuster. ;D Yes if it were you or I we would be in the cross bar hotel

Thanks for explaining subdjoe.....duh, I must have been tired to not see it. Anyway, I don't think Nugent is that dumb or arrogant to behave so irresponsibly. He should not only be jailed, but he should not be allowed to perform for a couple of years!

LOL! There, you see! You do it too. Tying this into some of the discussion about wazhisnames hit piece on Bushes Legacy, you see the name, make your assumtion and see or hear what you want.
In truth, when I saw your first response my thought was "Damn, she can't be THAT clueless, can she?' But sometimes it can be hard to see the obvious.
