Pet peeve: Having -7 karma points. I'm not sure whether to take that as an insult or as a sign that I'm making good arguments for my side, which is clearly underrepresented on this board. Saunterelle, I don't think "karma" points have been clarified as good or bad yet.

Saunterelle: "Which questions have I not answered directly? Sometimes it is hard to keep up when I'm being bombarded on all sides." _______________________________________________ The number #1 reason this forum is unbalanced....... hint , it's a tactic and gives them the "edge", or a feeling of it.

Mink, They're probably just drafting you to save gas ;D So, today, I have a Monster truck behind me, doesn't follow as close.......but I hear this obnoxious sound everytime he gasses it. The road splits eventually and I figured this guy will pass. He did change lanes, but stays just short of pulling up beside me. I just don't get it!!

If so, no reason to pass, but he wanted to not be directly behind you. Or he might be a slow reader - I would guess that you car is covered with bumperstickers as required on page 86 of the Progressives Handbook <g>.

Basically, I am a reasonable driver, follow the rules, speed limit or slightly above (5 mi. over), but it was the obnoxious noise, his little annoying installed gadget that was just as bad as riding my tail. And no I do not have the "W" on my bumper.

"And no I do not have the "W" on my bumper."
;D ;D ;D
good one! But aren't you required to have at least a dozen of them? At least two (2) of which have 250 word quote in 12 point type?

The number #1 reason this forum is unbalanced....... hint , it's a tactic and gives them the "edge", or a feeling of it. it would seem that there just aren't many libs that are literate and willing to engage in thoughtful discourse. i imagine most of them are busy watching obama speech reruns on Tivo or trying to find a way to make their 1982 volvos with kerry/edwards bumper stickers run on rainbow power. we would certainly welcome more participants from the left if they can be found. invite your friends and relatives to join up with us on the forum. no katchkungs, please!

Well, that really sounds inviting.......nice categorizing TNG. Just out of curiosity, how would you describe all you "righties"?

Actually, Mink, I think most of us are more like moderates. Yes, a moderate is considered pretty far to the right in Oh so tolerant, diverse, and inclusive Sonoma County, but that is because in general So. Co. is somewhat left of Engles. And, we tend to run or reason rather than emotion and bumper stickers. We take a long view, not a 5 year plan. We have a working knowlege of history, too. We tend to care about people as people rather than grand sweeping causes that we can support without doing anything more than chanting on street corners, or waving signs.

you took the words "right" out of my mouth. thanks, sub. mink, i was taking a stab at being humurous. we would welcome more liberals to the forum if they could: 1. be found 2. take a factorial beating and stick it out as you and santurelle have. if you recall the old PD forum, many a libs came and went: kp, corey, nibusula, etc. they tended to drop in on occasion and throw a verbal grenade (something they heard on the defunct air america, no doubt that they thought was real catchy) and then when the rest of us would dare to question them or expose them with facts, they were gone in a flash. you deserve a trophy for hanging in there so long.
