What do you all think about this?

The first ones to go should be the ones in office.

Yup, I think we need a voter revolution.

It's funny you should mention that.... a voter revolt.
I've been feeling for several months now that we are fast approaching the tipping point above exactly that precipice. Even O'Reilly gave voice to the notion in his opening commentary last night saying (and I am paraphrasing) that there seems to be a palpable undercurrent of voter revolt out there and if the stimulus, hence Barack, fails and the country sinks deeper the citizens may just finally have had enough.
The stimulus coming out of DC is more like a "porkulus". This is only going to get worse and the porkulus is most likely going to make it a lot worse so long as it contains so much pork.
State employees need to take their two days a month without pay and STFU... or they are risking a pink slip. Simple as that. If I were the Governator, assuming that my testicles were not shrivelled to the size of raisins as his surely are from all the roids, I'd have already started laying people off.
Government can no longer assume that it can continue to sustain itself at it's current levels without causing far deeper economic damage without facing some sort of consequence as a result. Whether that consequence comes at the ballot box or at the end of the rhetorical rope is entirely within their control.

Well put TBG. I for one am sick and tired of getting lip service from one career politician while another is ramming a stick up my ass and figuring out a creative way to insinuate that I asked for it and to tax me for the service.
In fact, it's been a long time since I've felt 'represented'.

Well at least they aren't losing their jobs.

If they don't get with the program and take the days off, some of them will be.

Remember how much smoother everything ran when we had a part time rather than full time legislature?

Can't remember having that in my lifetime.... lord I wish we could see it again.

As someone who lost his job as a result of this economic crisis, I have zero sympathy for these whining state workers being told to take off two days per month. If they refuse to do it, fire their collective butts and hire me! I'd much rather take two unpaid days per month than have lost my job.
I sure hope the voter revolt comes soon. California politics have become even more of a circus.
