I think I'll drive my Chevy to the levee tonight... cause it's gonna be dry.

You know, leave it to MSNBC to run a News story calling a most loved and creative song erroneous. Why can't they just give Don McLean his just dues and say that it was one of the worst days for Rock-n-Roll when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper died. Sure, the style and the type of music lived on, but that was not Don McLean's point of the song. Three of the greatest music makers were silenced that day and they were the music to Don McLean. Don McLean just helped us to remember them in a beautiful way, with his musical rendition of his own life from then to 1970. One can imagine that as a musician, this was a very profound moment in Don McLean's life, yet MSNBC cheapens it with their liberal interpretation of his song.

What would you expect from the network that beams out 3 hours of Keith Olbermann and Rachel Madow each day?
