Maybe it's me, but honestly I'm really sick and tired of the race, and political party BS. I just want a presidential candidate to vote for that will serve us as Americans without bias. I don't care what color, gender, or party they are, just do a good job, and please, prove it to me first that they are truly qualified without a bunch scum-bag selling techniques to cover up that in reality the hype has more substance than the candidate.
I don't like any of the options on the table, and at this point I FEEL like tossing a coin to make my decision.

White voters vote for the candidate they feel best represents their interests.
In2000, it was George W. Bush.
In 2004 it was GWB again.
In 2008 it will be John Sydney McCain.
How is that racist?

Where's Oprah?! Whites like her, women like here, men respect her, she's African American, she can afford to pay her own way, the cattle ranchers won't vote for her, but who cares...(sarcasm)
I hope to god we don't make political decisions based on color, gender etc. If a candidate possesses the ability to lead they get my vote.

"so if come november, 90% of all whites vote for mccain you won't think that's even a bit racist? ?" I wouldn't think it was due to racism although many Democrats probably would.

It seems to me that the party that keeps racism alive by constantly reminding blacks that they need help is the Democrat Party. Yet, the policies that the Democrat Party puts forth continue to keep the blacks married to their status. When a balck person escapes the treadmill, they are decried as "not black enough." Remember the slander against Condi Rice? That didn't come from the right.
Martin Luther King said, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Yet, the Democrat Party continues to classify people based on skin color, consoling them that it's not their fault that they can't succeed. The debacle in New Orleans after Katrina laid that fact bare for all to see.
