I am so happy to see you gloating over an industry destroyed by the invertvention of our federal government long before these bailouts were even needed. Ever stop and ask yourself why the government keeps putting stricter and stricter regulations on Automobiles when they do not even emitt above 1% of all green house gases produced by man?
No, you never stop and ask yourself questions like that. Which is why you gloat over what is happening, because you fail to see the significance. Pretty much the same reasons you defend the FDR administration, which damaged the true founding principles by injecting statist solutions to the problems of a Democratically elected Republic. Which in turn is why our Constitution has been utterly destroyed in reality.
Complacent people like you are the worst thing that happens to this nation. You were on watch when the Federal Government gave us incremental tax withholdings, raising our taxes and taxing the poor more and more, a Democrat invention by the way. You and people from your generation failed to protect the rights of the future generations.
Now, people just accept the damage as the status quo or business as usual. That is why people look at you like you are speaking a foreign language when you present them with what the constitution acutally says and means. Your generation handed them the keys to the house, hoping they would keep the theives out, but they were the theives and you invited them to stay.

It is amazing, how in a single crisis, a relatively free market system of laws can be overturned into socialism without any debate in Congress.
Now THAT's the power of using a crisis to generate change.
Imagine if GWB had done it...........

Will you buy a "Goverment Motors Car?"
Of course I will. It will be a car that makes sense and gets higher mileage and makes less pollution. And when Obama is done fixing this mess that we're in we will probably all be able to AFFORD a car then. Right now no one can even buy cars.

This is the same government that has something like 450 pages of regs on how the military buys catsup. And spends $100,000,000 to save $1,000,000. The only way that the federal govt. could make a car that is we all can afford would be to subsidise the hell out of it with tax money. Which would make it MORE expensive.

And runs on rainbows, and if there's no rainbows it will generate them cause rainbows are pretty and pretty things make people happier, and doesn't have tires cause tires are rubber and rubber is from a tree and hurting trees is bad and trees have feeeeeelings and don't wanna be made into something they're not, and no glass either cause glass is made from sand and I think the sand has feeeeeelings and doesn't wanna be made into something it isn't either, and nothing plastic in it because plastic is an oil byproduct and oil is bad and... Wow I remember being 13 also. Hey Sunny in order for people to WANT to BUY something they have to WANT to BUY it..................most simplistic explanation I could think of for you.

I won't drive any more... But if I was going to, I would not buy a Electric Car. You will get 40- 100 miles distance on it, then you take a Cab, Plane, Train, Hitch Hike, etc. to get home when you run out of "Juice". Leave the car there.
Hydrogen? Kaboom!!!! Headless horseman? Solar? Naw. Coal? Well, they used to make Coal Gas, from Coke, when I was a Kid.
There are some vehicles that use Natural Gas. These work well. And the conversion parts are available now. Why do I bring this up? Because I don't see this type of fuel brought up as an alternative.

That is correct joe, not a single company had to provide shares to the United States Treasury until "Tiny" Tim Geithner the tax cheat came to power. Then began the nationalization of AIG and GM.
