it may be convenient if someone else is online and you want to speak to them without having to PM them.

If you add it, will it be an option on our profile page?

Hi Mink. It didn't take long to get this far. I await the day that this Forum shows that it is easier than the old Forum. So far I see no indication that it will be. Oh, I suppose I will "Get It" sooner or later.
I may be missing something, but I don't see much conversation between Posters on any Topic. The only one I can think of is the one about the Muzzle Loader. I know that some, or maybe all Muzzle Loaders are Legal. I suppose the Officials leave it that way because anyone using them will probably blow their own head off. I mean CCW.

The quick reply will probably work. Thats what I'm using now until I find a better way.

mink, i think the chat thing that they offer will be part of the forum. you would probably just click on it and invite someone in there.
heckle, the quick reply works great and is easy to use. if you want to reply using bold, italics, quotes, colors, etc. then you must use the standard reply button. other than that, what seems to be the problem?

Heckle, care to explain this statement: "I suppose the Officials leave it that way because anyone using them will probably blow their own head off."
I know that for many libs the process is well beyond their capacity since it requires some attention to detail, but in reality it isn't all that difficult.

I voted "No" in the poll. Not because I think it's a bad idea, but more for the reason that we are trying to generate responses in this new forum and would want all exchanges viewed by all to help sustain discussions.
That is not to say, that once this forum is well established I would vote for a "chat Room."

I gave it a big thumbs up, mostly because sometimes there is an aside that I would like to make to someone that really doesn't belong in a discussion. <shrug> This is one of those things that there is no right or wrong, just difference. I would like it, but it won't bother me if it doesn't happen.

well, it doesn't really matter to me about the chat. i agree with ferrous that i'd prefer to have the opinions posted for all to see but i do understand subdjoe's point as well. i will leave the poll up for a few more days and see what happens. i suppose we could give it a try and then have a vote to keep it or not.

Personally, I don't need to chat, otherwise I wouldn't be on a forum. I too agree with ferrous and see subdjoe's point, however I can take it or leave. I just can't promise that I would respond if I were to be invited to chat..... PM's work for me, which is why I voted no.

Subdjoe... I guess what I mean is that probably not many people will carry concealed muzzle loaders, and if they use them, they have a habit of backfiring or exploding. Just a guess. I'll not dig into this. Just as the Officials don't see a need to regulate these firearms, etc, etc.

I seem to have gotten the "Hang" of this Forum. At least as much as I need, to participate... I still think this Forum could be a little easier. I have "Norcal Debate"n my Search Box, and this brings me to the Norcal Debate Menu. I Browse from there. I have no complaints... but I do think the Cartoons will wreck this Forum.
