Seems Nancy Pelosi was in vacation mode: We seem to have a problem with the "can do Congress" that the Democrats hailed when wresting control from the "pad your own pocket" Republicans. Now, the lights have gone off, the air conditioning turned off, no visitors allowed in and Republicans wanting to deal with the energy crises are alone in the dark crying foul. michellemalkin.com/2008/08/01/floor-revolt-no-vacation-for-house-republicans/And where is Nancy? [Nancy Pelosi, meanwhile, is busy hawking her miserably performing book–currently ,1726 on Amazon.com:

Congress was due to recess. And? They could have stayed in session and dealt with a real problem. But Nancy and Harry knew that their agenda isn't what the people want or what the nation needs. So they didn't say, hey, we need to stay and solve this problem. Nope, they left and are hopeing that we will forget what is going on and that some new distraction will come along. I seem to recall her saying that this would be a congress that would put the needs of the nation before politics. Yet another lie by the 'progressives.'

Didn't she and her cronies do the same thing about immigration. Went away and when they came back, not a word was heard about immigration reform.
BTW, has Nancy kept her promise and brought the troops home?

There is no schedule for adjournment, the constitution provides a means that says, "Neither House, during the Session of Congress, shall, without the Consent of the other, adjourn for more than three days, nor to any other Place than that in which the two Houses shall be sitting."
This adjournment is wrong, plain and simple. Only a fool would believe otherwise.

Our Nancy despises debate almost as much as she hates oil.
Except the oil stocks in her portfolio.

So much for the "Can Do" congress that Pelosi promised when she came to power. Congressional Approval Hits Record-Low 14% PRINCETON, NJ -- Congress' job approval rating has dropped five percentage points over the past month, from 19% in June to 14% in July, making the current reading the lowest congressional job approval rating in the 34-year Gallup Poll history of asking the question. The Democratic win in 2006 was big and still is. The trouble here is there is not much of a majority and the Republicans still hold enogh weight to keep anything substantial from changing.
As for Nancy's oil filled pockets, I don't know....but Feinstein needs to look into the mirror.
Thanks for posting the schedule ferrous.......all I know is I heard they were due for recess.
