Let's see, take five weeks vacation from August to September, then recess on the 26th of September, just a couple weeks after returning from vacation. I need a job like that. What a sham. No wonder we are having such a hard time getting an energy bill, they don't hang around long enough to do anything about it.

They still need a continuing resolution, or the ban will expire on Sept 30. You cn expect something to be cobbled together next week. Don't be surprised if it gets larded up with a bunch of other spending, though.

Well, the Dems have decided to let the ban expire. This is from The AP, via Yahoo: The Dems can rest easy, knowing that their allies in the environmental movement will tie up offshore drilling in so many lawsuits, it'll never get loose. See my previous post in this thread about the actions of the Sierra Club and the Center for Biological Diversity. Despicable!
