it is sad to poke fun at someone's age like that but then again progressives think it's funny. they tried to make the same point with reagan, who turned out to be the greatest prez of our time.
since you are so fond of youtube, here are a few more beauties complete with ah's, er's, and um's:

TNG, give me a break! You are stereotyping me again. McCain does appear to slipping a bit, and age has a way of doing that to people, and if and when it happens running for president isn't the best idea. And just for the record, not ALL 70+ people have lapses in memory, judgment etc. but you have to admit the odds are much greater!

oh, no you didn't just go there. go back and view the first video i posted above. pay close attention at the 1:40 mark when barry talks about sending a kid to the ER with asthma. he sounds like porky pig on lithium and he's only 47!!! maybe he is experiencing an early onset of dimensia, huh? maybe he just needs a little more sleep. and don't forget the 57 states he has been to.
i'd rather have an older (experienced) prez who occasionally misspeaks than a younger one who has no idea what the hell he is talking about.

I got a chuckle or two from this. I like humor especially when everything in the world can feel so bleak. You know, laugh or cry, and sometimes a good laugh is a better option.

TNG, your post:
« Reply #1 Today at 9:39am » was altered to make Obama look silly, not that he can't do that all by himself. ;D

And just for the record, not ALL 70+ people have lapses in memory, judgment etc. but you have to admit the odds are much greater! And so then you go and stereotype older people. So if the odds are that memory and judgement will be affected by advancing age, then by all means lets immediately remove and send to the camps Mr. Justice John Paul Stevens. He's pushing 90 after all. But even though I disagree with his position on many issues, he is still possessed of a razor sharp legal mind and has the ability to use to great effect. Apparently you did not watch any of the Saddleback Forum on Saturday where Senator Obama spent an hour waffling and trying to find non-answers and Senator McCain spent an hour answering directly, personally, cogently and with an occassional spot of humor. No confusion apparent. My suggestion, rather than cherry picking sound bites out of You Tube, watch the entire Saddleback Forum from start to finish and then come back and tell us Obama came off better.

TBD, I didn't say all aging people have memory issues, but it is more likely to happen with older people. My mother who is 72 humors herself almost daily around this very issue.
Re: Saddleback Forum see below I'd posted a response to you in another thread: ___________________________________________ TBD, no I didn't good to know. I've been trying to keep an open mind given the options, but so far I just can't find it in me to jump on either bandwagon!

Wasn't the Saddleback Forum at a "mega church"?
Edited: Now that I see this forum is at an Evangelical Church, it is already in an inappropriate place for this kind of event. I'm sorry, but church and state should be kept separate as possible even though we are a praying nation.
Kudos to Obama for participating in this ridiculous "thing"

There are exerpts of the Saddleback Forum right now on CNN. I'm not seeing the "waffling" Big Dog references for Obama, but heard thoughtful answers instead.
I was impressed that McCain noted his failure being his first marriage. Also, McCain made reference of 9/11.....instead of the country being told to go shopping.......he suggested volunteerism.
