bolverk-Is that the same green cannon fuse that I used to get at the gun & ammo store that is(was?) off Piner Rd In SR? Forgive me it's been years and I can't remember the name of the place. I think it was rated at 30sec/foot? Sounds about right to me. It was a green color.

I'll bet not one of you "Hot-Shots" has ever set off a "Cherry Bomb" while holding it in your fingers. Well, maybe you have, and it had a fast fuse. That would be enough to make you get real long "Timed Fuse". I never threw a Cherry bomb again, after one short fuse. Those fuses were only about an inch and a half long to start with.
All the stuff youse guys are talking about has nothing to do with the things I talk about. Most people would understand what I am talking about. I won't try to explain to youse guys so you can understand.

Cherry bombs, real M-80s, vairous others bought in Mexico (i grew up in San Diego county). Plus home made stuff involving black powder, cardboard, lots of duct tape and fuse. and sometimes pipe, fittings and about 1 inch ball bearings. So, yeah, I have a feeling the others know what you are talking about. It was incidents like you described that led us to attaching longer, more consistant fuses to the pyrotechnics.

easy heckle. we used to light m-80s in out teeth! just kidding but we all did some stupid things with fireworks as kids. i did watch a friend of mine take the powder out of some firecrackers and bottle rockets and put it into a small glass vial. he thought it would be a good idea to sprinkle it over a small fire. were were dumb enough to gather around to watch it. his hand became instant hamburger and i still have pieces of glass in my chest and arm to this day.
