If you and your wife faithfully attend for twenty years a church whose pastor preaches Black Liberation Theology, a mix between Malcom X and Marx, but you disown the pastor and his preachings when they become widely available on YouTube, that's called integrity.
If you work hard to conceal your associations with leftist radicals and Chicago machine politicians, even opening a section on your website called StopTheSmears.com, that's called "change."
If you vote "present" more than 130 times in the state Senate in order to avoid taking difficult positions, that's called "principled."
If you focus all of your efforts attacking the other party's VP nominee instead of their policies, that's called "loser."

At first, the admin. wouldn't think about talks with Iran or any terrorists countries, nor would they think of pulling out of Iraq. Guess what has happened most recently? They took his idea, so now he can't change that, can he??? Bush has always said that, as the Iraqi Army stands up, we will stand down. Have you read the recent news reports, Mink, about the successes of the Iraqi army in battling the terrorists in Iraq? Don't Gen. Petraeus and the Surge get any credit at all from the Left? I guess if Obama claimed he could make the sun come up tomorrow, you'd give him credit for that, too??? Yes, bush did say that, but he wasn't about to pull out while he is still in office and just recently decided that he would think about it. The admin. also said there would be no talks with Iran or Syria. The reason for the surge? A bad choice to go to war with a country that didn't attack us on 9/11. They just want to claim they or "we" won, but what about the soldiers that are lucky to come home? This is BS!

I thought this pretty much says it:

Apparently the stupid, reactionary rather large portion of the American electorate, the right-leaning 40 something percent of people have not yet had enough, despite all the economic disaster and societal failure we see all around us. They want MORE failure, more stupidity, and they want to believe more Republican lies. You were right to say that the ‘guy they’d like to have a beer wth’ or the ‘hockey-mom next door’ image is what they want. They don’t want someone smart. They don’t want even a minimally black man, they only want die hard Republicans and despite their finances being in shambles they still DO believe the Republicans and everything the party tells them to think. YES, IT IS THAT STUPID. McPalin lie through their teeth daily, they re-invent their record of neocon failures into pseudo reformers and the dumb-a$$es BELIEVE THEM. . McBoss-Tweed is neck in neck in the polls ____________________________________________________ I mean, it just doesnt' make sense to put an inexperienced hockey mom coupled with mccain, who is getting more feable in his old age.

Yes, bush did say that, but he wasn't about to pull out while he is still in office and just recently decided that he would think about it. You are trying to ascribe to Bush the same motives that your candidate used in his dealings with Iraq. Amir Tahiri at The New York Post has already made that point public. However, in its efforts to refute the claim, the Obama campaign actually confirmed it. So, since your candidate would stoop so low as to politicize this war, you will then assume that all candidates would be so low. That's called "treason," Mink. Honestly, how successful do you think any talks with these two nations will be? How effective has the Group of Four been so far in getting Iran to come clean on its nuclear program? Our only hope with Syria is that they will see the writing on the wall, like Khaddafi did, and start being more cooperative. Come on, Mink, admit it: you will never agree that the Iraq war was justified, in spite of the fact that the terrorists themselves tell us that they see this as the central front in the War on Terror, in spite of the fact that we are now winning, and in spite of the fact that the Iraqi nation is now living in freedom after living under an oppressive dictator for 20 years. Go ahead and wear your "Free Tibet" t-shirt, but condemn the Iraqis' efforts to taste the same freedom. Go ahead and completely ignore the history of the discussion on Iraq before 2001, history that we have repeatedly pointed out to you here and on the Peedee forums. Go ahead and ignore the fact that many in the Democrat Party voted to authorize the war in Iraq, and the only other main candidate for the Democrat nomination was defending her vote up until MoveOn.org put the heat on her. Now, that's BS!

But somehow it DOES make sense to put an inexperienced community organizer into the White House? I want some of what you have been smoking, Mink.

I like this one from a "white professional woman":
selkiemoon9/19/2008 4:37:43 AM
I am a professional, white woman...a mother also...and I could not have said it better. This woman is an idiot. Just the fact that she used Yahoo! email to conduct government business is enough to convince me of her idiocy. I am a scientist and this woman is the epitome of ignorance where that is concerned. Her environmental policies are atrocious. Her religious beliefs are ludicrous. She represents everything I loathe and separate myself from where women are concerned. I am not even nice to the people I work with when they bring up that right-wing, fundamentalist BS about her being a "gift from God". And god (or whatever deity you align yourself with) help us if we have to listen to her annoying voice for 4 years. You are right, Mark, about intelligent women being pissed...I know I am. ________________________________________________

...and this one is response to the last:

selkiemoon says: And god (or whatever deity you align yourself with) help us if we have to listen to her annoying voice for 4 years. Thank you for saying this. I've noticed only a few people on line mention this and it was the very first thing that struck me about her (and I'm speaking literally here) it's more than just annoying. It cut through my head like a knife; makes my skin crawl like nails on a blackboard...aarrrgh! ________________________________________________
Yes, women are pissed and there's more!

Here, the South speaks:
tinkonthebrink9/19/2008 4:45:42 AM
Maybe it's just the circles of women I connect with in my life, but I don't know a single woman, here in the south or all over the country, who had the slightest shift in support away from Obama - even those who supported Hilary initially - toward the McPalin ticket when Moose Mom came on board. My immediate perception, not the product of some poll, is that she is considered a joke and a liability that we're lucky to get. Those are the women - and the men - that I know personally. __________________________________________

More of women's opinions:
wtchywmn99/19/2008 5:52:43 AM
Mark, I LOVE YOU!!!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! You found the words to clearly express the horror I've been feeling over this whole mess. I've always held the naive belief that when one runs for president it's because they really believe in wanting to do something for the good of the country. McCain's choice is a whoring for votes move, nothing more. Between his choice of Palin and the consistent running of deceitful ads, he's proved he only cares for himself and winning, no matter what the cost. He needs to look up "honor" in the dictionary. Honest to Goddess, when I saw Palin's acceptance speech I thought I was watching Saturday Night Live. I was horrifed when I realized my Beloved had turned on C-Span, and it wasn't SNL. It's played out like SNL ever since. And the horrible thing is the American public is falling for it...life imitates art? You are a light in a very dark place, Mark. Thank you!!!!! _________________________________________________
Yes, thank you JMO for sharing.

okay, it stops here and now. this is not the selkimoon show or the wtchytwmn99 show. i will not allow this thread to be flooded with quotes from........ANOTHER DAMN FORUM. if it is so great then you should go there and become involved. if you wish to participate on this forum then learn to form your own response and use the occasional quote but let's not copy and paste the whole damn thing here. i am not going to let this devolve into a contest of who can find the most quotes from forum particpants to support their opinions.
no mas!

I was just at the Chrons site (from where Mink lifted those comments) and waded through several pages (ten or eleven) of the bigoted, intolerant, hateful, misogynististic, self congradulatory drivel that has been posted agreeing with that hit piece.
TNG, I think in a way Mink did us a service here. If you read those quotes they really show the shallowness of the left. Like the Platt - a mile wide and an inch deep. If you try to wade through the 1600 + posts you will find that what Mink put here are the more thoughtful and articulate. I will agree, her voice is a little annoying, it is almost as shrill as Hillarys voice.
