How 'bout them Rays?
10 years of terrible baseball, and now finally a World Series trip.
Rays vs. Phillies.
Having visited Florida (Tampa) recently and enjoying it, I've got to go for the cinderella Tampa Bay Rays. It would be nice to see this young team win it all in their first good season.
The Phillies will be a tough opponent though, and I could easily see Philly winning in 5.
I'm hoping there is one more miracle left in the Rays.

Good on 'em! It's good to see the underdogs win.
The uber-religious folks in Florida didn't like "Devil" in the name. They're already boasting that this is "the work of the lord" since the team owners removed the Devil this season.

I think that unless you've got something to back this statement up your remarks are insensitive.
But that's just my opinion.

It's a fish... a Devil Ray is a fish (shark relative).
People need to lighten up... it doesn't refer to the devil. I respect all religions... but occasionally I think they take things a little too seriously.
The real reason they are winning is that they improved their farm system dramatically in 2006, and the work is now paying off.
Go Rays!

Whatever happens in the World Series, you have to hand it to the young team! I caught a glimpse of the last two games with the Reds and it seemed "iffy" and they could have buckled to a team everyone bet on, but they perservered! Good for them.
They are not my team, but it's good to watch a good game and in this case, series.

Wow, that was interesting "trivia" Nice work saunterelle! Who would have ever thought........ Regarding the Giants, I have no idea who Joe Maddon is, but it doesn't surprise me, they goofed with Bochy. I was glad that JT Snow came out of retirement. Now, if Barry could finish his career in SF, I would be in "heaven" ;D
