I have finally had just about enough of the tolerant left here, who insist that I must understand their every slight of me, my politics and my opinion with innuendo, half truth and opinion presented as fact when I bring verifiable facts to the debate expecting an honest exchange of ideas.
And when I call shenanigans on the complete lack of tolerance of divergent views I am publicly dismissed and marginalized. And now I am told to get over myself.
I do not need any of that. I don't have the time, nor do I have the inclination to have a battle of wits with unarmed people. It's a very big internet and I have many other places where I post with people who engage in adult ideas and will debate based on fact rather than on crap.
As such, I will no longer be posting here. Please enjoy yourselves and enjoy the next four years under an Obama administration. You leftists are about to get exactly the government you deserve.

Unbelievable! It's ok for you to have strong opinions, call people ignorant and stomp them with all of you've got, yet when others attempt to make an opposing point you huff off.
I'd say this is a good example of how the country is feeling right now. I've said until I'm blue in the finger tips we all need to find a way to unite in this country despite opposing views.
You used to be one of the posters I had top respect for (in the PD) Three years ago no one could have paid me enough to make me believe that you would be so volatile, and one-sided. Guess I was wrong...

If you read all the posts put up on this forum you would find that most of the conservative posts are filled with substance, where the progressives posts are filled with feelings and no substance. It will not be eight years of Obama. In 2010 the tax rates will increase on every taxpayer, making Obama a liar again. Only this time people will notice. Perhaps Republicans will do like the Democrats and spend four years campaigning for office, rather then doing their jobs. You truly are an anal orifice. |

JMO, when I see substantive posts that I can understand, not based on emotion but fact, then perhaps I will listen. Until then, why don't we just go back to the 91% tax brackets created for people earning over $200,000 in 1946? And that was after they lowered it from 94% to which it was increased from 66% prior to the war.
Like I always say, Democrats never saw a tax they did not want to raise or money they did not want to confiscate and spend.

I also bet none of you knew that under Clinton the bottom earners paid more in taxes then under Bush. Another lie you folks have been spreading is how his tax breaks were for the rich. Well, people earning under $45,200 are not rich. Under Clinton you had a 15% tax, under Bush you have only a 10% tax on the first $16,050 and then a 15% tax on the remainder. So, tell me again how the Bush tax cuts were just for the rich?

That means when Obama comes into office and the Bush tax cuts expire, you get an automatic increase in your taxes back up to 15% on your earnings.

Big Dog is an excellent debater, and a very wise man. It is a shame to lose someone of his talents over petty bickering. I hope he reconsiders.
