Senator Obama has won, apparently, and once the Electoral College meets in December to make if official, he will be the next president of the United States.
As the days unfold, and the next administration comes to power along with a decidely left leaning majority in Congress, it will do all you "progressives" well to remember a few things.
1) No one likes a sore winner.
2) Informed and principled dissent is not disloyalty.
3) You all have won a great victory, what you do with it is in your hands. Now, don't screw it up.
Good luck and good night. See you in two years for the mid terms.
I'll be around.

For those of us who are Right, this election is very liberating. For eight years, we have had to defend the President against the scandalous and scurrilous attacks from the Rabid Left. Everything from "A villiage is missing it's idiot" to "BUSH LIED" to "the worst economy in 50 years" has been thrown up by the Democrats in their attempts to discredit a man who has led us through the most devastating attack on our society since Pearl Harbor. Well, now the shoe is on the other foot, isn't it? Is the Right justified in slinging mud against the new administration the way the Left has done since January 2001? Or, does the inauguration of a new messiah demand that we put aside our differences and march, lock step, into the ovens? The good news is that the picture of our country that the media portrays will instantly become better. Gone will be the focus on increasing unemployment rates, which never did hit the highs reached under Carter. Also, with the election of a black president, we have effectively put the racial hate mongers out of business. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will have to come up with a new line of work. It is time for the conservatives to take back the Republican Party. We were beaten by Obama's ground game, which geared up during his primary fight with Hillary and, thus, was a couple of laps ahead of McCain from the get-go. This is no time to sit back and wait for the next election. We have to start working now to put our agenda out and contrast it with what is sure to come from the Pelosi-Reid axis in Congress.

We can not beat them at that game. And I don't propose to. It is going to be their turn to govern. If they mess it up, I'll be ready, willing and able to call them on it at each and every turn. But with fact and evidence, not with smear, innuendo and insult as they have been doing all these years. They will find that once they have the power to govern it is a great deal of responsibility and that very tough choices have to be made sometimes. They have placed their faith in a man who has hardly any political record and who talks a good game. Now we get to find out if he really does have a good game.

Remember when the falling stock market was de facto proof of "the failed economic policies of George W. Bush"? How many times did we hear that mantra?
Well, yesterday, Election Day, when there was an outside chance of a McCain upset, the market was up 306 points, closing at 9,625. Today, when the reality of an Obama presidency has settled in, the market was down 485 points, closing at 9,140.
How long will it be until we start hearing about the failed economic policies of Barack H. Obama?

Wait until prices start to increase when all of these "Corporations" start having to pay more taxes. What do you think all of these voters will do then?

We could start talking about them right now. The falling stock market is evidence of investory bailing US markets and and investing elsewhere in preparation for Barry & Nancys new tax packages.

Yep. And isn't the owner of the Miami Dolphins set to sell his team if Obama wins, so he can avoid the excessive capital gains tax that Obama is planning on implementing.

He wont be alone.
Wealthy people...not "rich" people but wealthy people are not dumb. They will move there monies to safe havens Immediately.
B. Hussein in his own words is not going to cut any programs, but will instead raise taxes on the willing rich. Corporations will in turn fire people instead of paying entitlements and then pass along B. Hussein taxes onto the poor at 3 times the rate currently paid.
America is going to have record inflation in tripling of prices once the Obama tax plan is in place. America is going to go into stagflation and then into depression as our intellectuals flee for less Marxist states along with all their money...

Lets see, if he makes about $500 million for selling 45%, which is reasonable, he will have a capital gain of about $430 million. That would be about $64.5 million in taxes at the current rate or $86 million at Obama's rate. I would sell now so I could save $21.5 million dollars. You would be stupid not to.
