If only, if only, if only... I found myself repeating those words while watching Obama's first interview as President. If only Bush had been smart enough to try and talk with the Arab people instead of turning them against us. Obama is a President we can be proud of. He is a true leader in every sense of the word. He will bring much peace to our violent world. Very refreshing: Would those be the same Arab people who killed 3000 in America, or the ones cheering after it happened? Stupid is as stupid does.

This is historic afterall. We have our first Forrest Gump in the White House. Oh, and did I mention he was black? Well, partially anyway.

If you remember correctly, Forrest Gump got a lot done. In the movie he was a patriotic, honest, hardworking American. Seems to me you just paid Obama a complement.

Obama is dumber than a bag of hammers. Another left-wing "do-gooder" about to screw it all up. Unfortunately, it is we (and our children) who will pay for his idiotic actions. Lol. Funny comment coming from a Bush defender like yourself. Had Bush been intelligent enough to sit down and do an interview on an Arab TV station, he might have garnered more respect in the Arab world. Obama knows that to get respect you have to show some respect. Please explain why you think "we (and our children) will pay for his idiotic actions." Seems to me he is pulling the rug out from under the Islamic extremists, asking Arab people which path they would rather choose: A path of terrorism and destruction that leads nowhere, or a path of work and progress that gives their kids an education and secures a sense of responsibility and livelihood for Arab society as a whole. See, you're still stuck in the Bush years. It's no longer about "shock and awe," it is now about peace and civility. That is real change we can believe in!

The Arab world respects the strongest man. The Oprahbama reeks of appeasement, and they know it. The peace you crave will come in the grave. Allah's warriors are now reinvigorated, and will make all the arrangements. The children are back in the White House.

Give me a break! Shock and awe has failed. It failed to win the hearts and minds of the Arab people. A different approach is what's needed. We have already proven our military might. It would be foolish to keep flexing our muscles when it obviously isn't working. That's why the Republicans didn't get elected and McCain lost every single debate, especially the one on foreign policy: Republican war mongering doesn't work.
Bush left us open to attack in 2001 by taking an extended vacation and shoveling brush on TV. It showed the world (smugly) that America is relaxed and ripe for the picking. Obama is smarter than that. Doing an Arab TV interview lets them know that we are focused and watching their every move. It encourages the Arab people to respond by picking sides. Treating them with respect and opening dialogue is one way to let them know that they have our support if they pick the right side.

And, you are completely wrong on your assessment of the events. Trying to blame Bush for 9/11 is like saying Clinton was never impeached. So, I repeat. Would those be the same Arab people who killed 3000 in America, or the ones cheering after it happened? Answer that, oh genuflecting lemming of the left.

They will believe it even as they are led into the "showers". Suicide is trendy in the Age of The Oprahbama.

Santurelle said, "It encourages the Arab people to respond by picking sides."
Oops, I was wrong. Obama is not dumb as a bag of hammers. He is dumb as a box of rocks. Santurelle is dumb as a bag of hammers.
Presidents since Reagan have been giving muslims a choice for good or evil. Perhaps you are not old enough to remember anything before Bush (with whom you seem totally obsessed) but time and time again the radicals have made the decision for the muslim population. Time and time again they have chosen violence. Asking them nicely once more won't make a difference.
Obama is a stooge. The mullahs, Achmedinijad, and the rest know this and are ready to take full advantage of the situation. When the next attack happens it will fall squarely on the shoulders of Obama. Make all the excuses you want but it will be solely his fault. He is the one peeling away all the mechanisms put in place by Bush to keep us safe after 9/11. He will have to answer for it.
Thinking that Bush clearing brush invited 9/11 shows your stupidity. People with more than two brain cells know that Al Quaeda had been planning that attack for years. Just like they have been planning the next one. Now, they realize the time is right because they have a weak-kneed appeaser at the helm. This ship is sinking and liberals think the best way to save it is to drill holes in the hull to let the water run out. Brilliant!
P.S. There are 50 million freed from the grips of tyrranical regimes; scores of women who are free to speak and vote; countless girls who can attend school and have a future other than being a slave and countless lives saved in the long run. Ask them if they believe "shock & awe" was effective.

So, according to your logic, the American troops, whom you claim to support, are totally incapable of doing their job unless the President is at his post, right? America was shown to be ripe for the picking when Clinton pulled the troops out of Somalia in 1993. bin Laden has told us as much in his own writings. It was re-inforced with our pathetic responses to the embassy bombings and the attack on the USS Cole. Those who refuse to learn from history are condemned to repeat it. I just pray that I'm outside the blast zone when it happens.
