Bill Clinton and Joe Biden delivered stirring speeches last night, not to mention a heartfelt introduction by Beau Biden, Joe's son. It seems to me that Joe is the real "maverick" in this race who delivers on the promise of "straight talk." In this way he beats John McCain at his own game.
If you're interested in getting to know the man a bit more here is his son's intro. Beau's speech starts at the 4 minute mark:

Beau's speech starts at the 4 minute mark: Everyone of these you post should earn you a smite from every conservative member. Yeah, that is a good idea. Every time we see one, we should smite you for taking up precious bandwidth.

sorry, but i couldn't get past the first 20 seconds. biden says that he was taught by his parents that when you get knocked down you get back up and keep going. so why is he a member of the party of victimhood? what happened to those conservative values his parents taught him? why isn't he teaching that to others?
instead, he and his party teach people that if you get knocked down you should stay down until uncle sugar comes to pick you up. he and his party teach people that it's always someone else's fault.

Actually, when you think about it, the Democrats are more "conservative" (literally) than the so-called Conservative Party, who has led the country into a hugh deficit. Tsk, tsk....etc

I concur with saunterelle! What bush did was deliberate, going into Iraq, and used false intelligence to make his case. He also had prior knowledge of threats and what kind they were from our community and from the Filipino govt. way before 9/11 terrorist attack. The only thing is , I'm not sure he was clearing brush as much as he was vacationing. The change we need is a change from this failed administration, not a carbon copy. Well, first it is not the Filipino government, they also govern Filipinas as well. It is the Government of the Philippines. Second, there was no warning from the Philippines. There was an arrest of Al Qaeda operatives in 1996. That is when the plot was uncovered. Now, tell me something relevant to the whole story. I remind you, that when this story was released, in 1997, there were still three years to go before the election. In other words, that dog don't hunt. I am pretty sure your vaunted Bill Clinton was still in office, and still in his first term at the time of these arrests. There was a warning from the Phillipine (Filipino or Pilipino) govt. and the bush administration ignored it. Clinton left office passing on the terror threat information as well and bush ignored it. This president, in his first year, was the most vacationing pres. Obama took an unpopular position in opposing the war in Iraq......now after all these years , money spent, lives lost, Obama still sees what the country should do, but first, he has to fix bush's mistakes, nationally and worldly.

That's ridiculous. The Democrats support killing babies before they're born. The Dems support homosexual marriage. The Dems support programs that will take more than 50% of the working Americans' wages in taxes. Obamunism will allow the world to run our country (United Nations). There is nothing "Conservative" about any of those positions, and there is nothing Conservative about the Democratic party. Radical Leftist, yes. Conservative? Not even close. Actually, when you think about it, the Democrats are more "conservative" (literally) than the so-called Conservative Party, who has led the country into a hugh deficit. Tsk, tsk....etc

Democrats support a woman's right to choose to have a legal abortion (that is, removal of a cluster of cells, a potential baby that can't yet feel, hear, think, or survive outside the womb). It gives her access to a sanitary and safe environment in which to have the procedure under a doctor's care. The fact is, abortions are going to happen anyway, would you rather go back to the coat hanger days?
An absurd statement! Do you have any stats to back this up? Were you paying 50% of your wages under President Clinton? If you want the truth, 95% of working American families will receive a TAX BREAK under President Obama.
What the hell are you talking about? Look, if you come on this board and start spouting nonsense, back it up with facts or at least a description of what you mean. You run the risk of making yourself look foolish.

santurelles says:
if you ever called one of my kids a "cluster of cells" i would quickly put a dent where you nose used to be. do you have children? i'm doubting it but if so, do you ever call them a "cluster of cells?"
sad to say but if abortions weren't so convenient girls might actually think twice before spreading their legs. but you never think of it that way, do you?

Actually, when you think about it, the Democrats are more "conservative" (literally) than the so-called Conservative Party, who has led the country into a hugh deficit. Tsk, tsk....etc that's the best response you can come up with? let's try again..... biden says that he was taught by his parents that when you get knocked down you get back up and keep going. so why is he a member of the party of victimhood? what happened to those conservative values his parents taught him? why isn't he teaching that to others? (hint: because dems have always been in the business of victimhood ) btw, you seemed to have confused conservatism with conservationism.
