If that had been a Mixed Martial Arts match, Newt would have just ground and pounded that reporter into submission.

The "openings" that Olbermann the Pontificator was mentioning was the grabasstic rantings of a bunch of lefties who were coming on after the break to tell lies about Palin's record.

There is no comparison, in my opinion. Palin's experience is in Alaska, the least populated state in the US. This is the topic of the thread. While the republicans, from the start have pointed out the inexperience of Obama, for some reason, it is acceptable for Palin. We barely know her stance on many issues. In my opinion, the size of the state is fairly irrelevant. The job title applies more, and generally a governor is going to have more experience than a Senator. Especially a minor senator as in my opinion Obama was. My other argument is that Obama is running for president with almost zero executive experience. Palin is only running for VP, and yet likely has more executive experience than Obama. The size does matter and time frame are both factors when we are talking the VP position and possible pres., if anything should happen to mccain, in my opinion. If your other argument about Obama having zero experience and I assume this is governing, than, neither does mccain.

please stop, mink. you're embarassing yourself. i've told you already that alaska IS NOT the least populated state. did you miss that?
also, by you're reasoning bill clinton was not qualified because arkansas is a sparsely populated state. and since CA is the most densely populated that would make arnold the most qualified, right? (assuming that he was actually eligible, which he isn't)

I believe Alaska is not as populated, if not the most unpopulated state and you may prove me incorrect, however, does not make it the most populated.......my point being what experience Palin has, is limited. Guiliani, himself mentioned, "she did well in her "maiden" voyage", (in so many words) tonight at the convention. What I witness appeared like someone running for student body president.

Mink do yourself a favor on this... back away from the computer. You are playing a very much losing hand trying to argue the experience question. You number one man has far less executive experience than Mrs. Palin. See the video clip of Speaker Gingrich above.
Check back in with us after the vice presidential debate on October 2. Hopefully you'll have some new talking points by then.

Sarah Palin's experience for the least populated state in the nation. Any one with the time can see just what experience she has... www.gov.state.ak.us/omb/09_omb/budget/FY09_Fiscal_Summary.pdfThat was $223.7 million going into Constitutional Budget Reserve. (2007 and $155.3 in 2008) Anyone else find any comparative issues with her running a balance budget?

I was watching the news this morning, and I was really amazed by some of the poll numbers from Rasmussen.
51% of the voters feel that the media is attempting to hurt Palin with their news coverage. Those numbers are of course reflective of Republicans, to a significant degree, but they offset the Democrat numbers that feel she is being treated fairly. However, a great many of the people who feel the media is attempting to hurt Palin do not have a party affiliation.

That she has been getting jobbed by the media is pretty much without question. They've been mean spirited and vicious perhaps more than any time since the early days of the Reagan Administration.
That, to me, merely exemplifys and underscores just how big a threat they perceive her candidacy to be. Both now and for the future.
Here's my dream matchup for 2012.... Vice President Palin with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindahl in the number two slot against Hillary and, well, whomever.
And since the Palin speech last night the mainstream leftwing punditry has gone largely quiet leaving the real nasty stuff to the nutroots and bloggers. Last night the worst Keith "Obama's Real Attack Dog" Olbermann could come up with following the Palin speech was ....

Hugh Hewitt posts on exactly this latest phenomenon at his Townhall blog this morning.

you're making my head hurt. of course i have a reference......it's called the internet. it's amazing what you can find there. as far as her speech it was a total grand slam. even the liberal pundits found it hard to deny. bill and hill must have been elated that she was chosen last friday because it means that obama will lose and it will give hill a chance to run in 2012 but after last night i think hill is shaking in her pantsuit. palin is one tough broad. she will slice and dice hillary with the skill of a ninja.
