Being conservative is one thing. Close to a depression, hugh deficit, in debt, high unemployment, lost jobs, little or no health care, waging unnecessary wars, ....etc., and lying, is another.
At this rate, the super power country is a lost cause, not to mention the laughing stock of the world (not that neocons care), but we simply can't afford to lose the status. How will we afford more of the same? If they lower more taxes and that would be for the rich, there is no other choice but for the situation to get worse.

"Yes, the main point, the one that has millions rallying 'round her, is her conservatism.
Pres. Bush is a Republican in caps & a conservative in lower case.
For Sarah, that is reversed." _________________________________________
One thing they have in common is, they both lie.

The party with the one unquestionable liar calls everyone else a liar. Bush, Palin, Cheney, etc. All are liars(w/o evidence), and the greatest liar is still honored by his party.
Aren't y'all ever embarassed?
Don't you have any imagination at all?
I mean, call someone an arsonist or a check-kiter once in a while.
Liar, liar, liar. Tiresome and random.
It will never stick without proof.
Proof: as in,"I did not have sex with that woman..."
You know, proof. Like Harry & Nancy have been wishing for for years.

I have pointed out what palin said regarding the "bridge to nowhere"....she was against it, per her maiden voyage at the convention. The truth is, she was for it originally. A lie or a mistake because she is inexperienced? No one knew about her pregnant daughter when she was named VP. The news was allowed to come out prior to the convention. A lie or a mistake because she is inexperienced. Maybe, it is just ambition and she will do whatever it takes to get where she needs or wants to go. Her ethics need to be questioned.
She has been built up to be a reformer. What did she reform? Her plans are still hidden as was the truth of the "bridge to nowhere" or her daughters predicament. Skeletons are clinking but she shows a nice smile....that is scary.

What I am saying is, it is scary knowing there is another liar running for office, who painted themselves as something we need, in her case, a "reformer". She still hasn't said what she will reform except Washington, but no specifics. Look what we got from the "uniter". These people don't talk about their agendas or lie about them and look where we are. The country is in a recession and has a high deficit........Wasilla, AK experienced a deficit.....do you see the pattern? The country should be scared, don't vote for another set of the same and don't let another election get hijacked.

Scary. Lies. Deficit. Specifics. Recession. Agendas.
Yes, I see a pattern. In the attacks on Gov. Palin.

And since this is the Sarah Palin on the Issues thread I thought you might like this visual. I KNOW some points will see moot to some of you, but for the most part the video does cover a lot of interesting points: The most interesting part of that video is the ad next to it: Don't believe in Jesus, but believe that Sara wants to drown baby polar bears in boiling oil, and for no reason vetoing all that health care simply proving she's mean-for-no-reason, as well as thinking some books are more appropriate to read by young people than others AND even not having government funding for such salacious readings. OMG, she is as evil as, dare I whisper HIS name, aw, what the heck, this is America: Dick Cheney. YouTubes and rantings such as above convince me daily she is The One. Sorry, NObama, you were sooooo close.

Most of all, from the Dems, it is what people were looking for. A reason to vote for them by addressing issues. What I saw from the Republican convention was heartfelt stories of a POW, who no doubt deserves credit and a woman who wants to be compared to a dog with lipstick. What about the issues? What reason, other than being Republican, would you vote for them? What do they stand for? Same elephant? I mean the one we shared and experienced in viewing the TV? I saw the Repub Convention as Fred Thompson moving the group to stand and cheer, but he's no detail man, just an actor: Joe Libermann giving everybody a nap, Gulliani giving a fair speech but again he's simply A Mayor not a plank builder, then Sara showing up and letting the Good Old Polcats that there's a new sheriff in town so watch out boys. Then McCain comes and tells everybody that he is kicking the Republican Party out of the car; he's told them they can either join HIS new & revised party or fish and cut bait. He said he's reaching across the aisle (didn't he dance with them a few years ago?) to get what WE all need. He told all of US he's leading so either sit down and do as your told or get bold over. It was NOT the time to tell other Republicans what "we're going to do" and how ( really, neither did the Dems in their convention), but to ride the whirlwind of revitalization that The Woman brought with her. In that speech he fired the "Neo-Conservatives" Republican party traitors, told the old Republicans to join or flake off, and brought hope to conservatives, who don't need to told what "government can do for you", by definition.

Interesting take here. What I saw and heard from Thompson is, he appeared to be drunk. He slurred and hiccuped throughout his heartfelt story of a POW. Guiliani came across as insane. I do agree, Lieberman is boring. All in all, I wish they could have measured the decibel levels. It was enough to keep the dead, dead. As for mccain, I do respect the man for his service, however, now he is the only hope for the Republicans and even then, they needed a crutch in palin, who is turning out to be a nutjob and a liar. After the current admin., they will be lucky if they come close to keeping office. The country simply can't afford it~
