I did think this was funny I admit. I hope there isn't more to it than that. I would hate to think this nut is a spokesperson for the Republican Party, and all in the name of Jesus. Yikes.
What about Todd Palin's arrest in the 80's for drunk driving...
And, how is it that Bristol Palin is different than "Obama's mama?"

1. i'm sure he didn't know who palin was until recently but that's not the point, mink.
2. while he does go over the top a little he makes the important point that campaigns should be about the candidates NOT the candidates families. does anyone with a teenager who gets pregnant automatically become disqualified for public office?
3. what does todd palin's dui have to do with anything? they didn't marry until 2 years later. besides, ted kennedy, the best known drunk in the senate keeps getting reelected.
4. the point he made was that in one respect bristol and obama's typical white mama are the same because they both got preggo at 17. so why isn't the media going apesh*t over his white mommy for that? he is highlighting the media bias here.

Gee, he sounds a lot like the preacher that Obama called his spiritual guide for so long. And he is a black preacher, so his words must be true, just like Jesse and Al. And of course the Rev. Wright.
Oh, wait! <smacks his forehead> I forgot, minoritys can only express LEFTIST views. Otherwise they are not minority enough and have sold out.
New Guy, I agree, if somehow Todd Palins DUI is a disqualifier for Sarah Palin to be VP, then Teddys DUI and homicide should sure as hell disqualify him from being in the Senate. (actually, for anyone but him that would have been a felony, but he abused his name and power to bargain it down)

TNG: "1. i'm sure he didn't know who palin was until recently but that's not the point, mink." ------------------------------------------------------------------ If this is the same preacher palin says helped her get elected as governor for Alaska, he is the same one that held a witch hunt in Kenya for woman he said made others get into car wrecks. If this is her idea of religion, speaking tongues and all, she shouldn't expect the majority to follow!

TNG, for one thing Sarah Palin believes in the abstinence only teaching, and look at her daughter, didn't work to well now did it?
The preacher man was going on about Obama's dad being a drunk, and so my response was what about Todd Palin? He obviously had issues with drinking.

Mink you mentioned the speaking in tongues thing. I was in a GIGANTIC church in Houston Texas (Joel Osteen was the preacher) and they all started speaking in tongues. I was searching frantically for the exit. It was very odd, and I felt extremely uncomfortable (no offense to anyone).

JMO, yes this is what I heard about palin's church. They speak in tongues and although I have never witnessed it, it sounds so odd to say the least.
What was worse is the fact that palin publicly announced that her preacher helped her become governor. This preacher did a withc hunt in Kenya.
I think her abstinence only stance is a bad choice. It can work in conjunction with sex ed as well as parents taking responsibility for talking to their kids. I truly think she won't go that route, because she obviously didn't talk to Bristol.
Honestly, she is needed at home and not in politics.

"If this is her idea of religion, speaking tongues and all, she shouldn't expect the majority to follow."
My, how tolerant, Mink, bad mouthing and belittleing someones free exercise of religion. OH, silly me! I forgot that only animist, shamanist, or eastern mystic religions have any truth or value and that any hint or taint of Chrisanity must be purged from public view. (not that I agree with her flavor of Christianity, I find it's theology somewhat flawed)
As I said, this guy (and there is NO evidence that there is any connection at all between him and Palin other than he is fed up with the leftist lynch mob) sounds a lot like the guy who guided, mentored, and moulded Barry for twenty years. Just a different polarity. He doesn't sound like a professional victim. He doesn't sound like he hates America. He doesn't sound like he hates whites.
I love that the lefts true intolerant, bigoted, narrow minded nature is coming out as evidenced by that hit piece posted on a different thread, and all the hate filled invective that leftist bloggers, journalists, pundits, columnists, and politicians have been throwing at a woman who dares to be successful on her own terms and in spite of what the left proclaims a successful womans supposed to be like.
Hey! That website has a list of 50 womens shelters in the NY area. I bet most of them, if they are typical, can help women get free or low cost prenatal help, and then help women after they give birth. Weren't there comments on another thread that things like that are hard to find? And here, without trying we found a list of 50. I bet they network and could direct a woman to help almost anywhere in the country.

subdjoe, I never bad mouthed palin ever. I only discuss her issues and now her religion and of course the topic is about Bristol, which TNG posted.

The preacher man was going on about Obama's dad being a drunk, and so my response was what about Todd Palin? He obviously had issues with drinking. I guess the difference is that Sarah Palin didn't write a book, " Dreams of My Husband", telling all the world what a great man her husband was, while at the same time covering up the fact that her husband was a polygamist drunk who abandoned his family in Hawaii, went to Harvard, then back to Kenya, where he took up, not only with another white woman who followed him there from Harvard, but also with the Kenyan woman to whom he was married before. I guess the difference is that Todd Palin was not such a drunk that he lost both legs below the knee, but also kept up his drinking until he finally killed himself while driving home drunk. I guess, other that that, there's not much difference.
