jgaffney, well, thanks for the clarification. Just give ole Todd some time I'll bet he implodes while left in Alaska for months at a time with 5 children, and probably 1 grandchild in his house. I just couldn't resist! ;D Speaking personally, as a single father with full time kids, this is extremely offensive. It is also likely inaccurate of course since there is a home in Washington for the Veep's family. No I don't know if they all plan on moving to Washington or not. Just going with the odds. So... offensive AND inaccurate.

Yeah, they will miss Alaska, but either way, most likely ole Todd won't have to worry too much. They still have hired help.....you know the cook palin said she let go and her kids would be upset, only thing she forgot to add that the cook was given another title and allowed to stay.

Gaffney provided: Sharon Churcher, "A drunk and a bigot - what the U.S. Presidential hopeful HASN'T said about his father," Daily Mail "And, devastatingly, the testimony has come from Mr Obama's own relatives and family friends." ___________________________________________________ Really Gaffney....if this is your first choice of proof, it is weak and a desparate attempt to smear Obama's dead father, who BTW, isn't running for office. Please, hearing this from family and friends through a third party is like taking your info from the Enquirer. Shheesshhh

What the heck are trying to say here? Is it an attempt at a sexist remark to back up JMO? Is it a attempt to slam Palin for Some made up lefty "fact", perhaps? Sometimes you make no sense... but I've come to find that endearing sometimes. Anyone who buys into the full line of progressive ideas has already proven themselves to be a few bottles short of a six-pack

Palin has not been truthful, so some of you actually believe that she has all the time to be governor, mother, wife, cook, cleaning lady, tailor, gardener, hunter, fisherman, whatever... and have time to do her nails and hairdo. It just isn't realistic when you think about.....they have help!

I was kidding, although 5 kids, one parent pretty difficult to do. And, I was referring to her being out on the campaign trail and even if she goes into office who knows how long before they all move, see?
Anyway, as a former single parent and NUMEROUS posts over the last few years you should know I hold the utmost respect for single parents, and I can appreciate how in the car line at most schools the favorite joke is: Is it 5 o'clock yet? Isn't it wine time somewhere in the world? BECAUSE parenting is a difficult job, and sadly, seriously under rated! So, it was not my intention to insult single dads, but parenting alone with 5, maybe 6 kids...

Of course, this latest post does seem to be sexist against Palin so somehow you can take shots at both genders for their inability to function in life without help. Bully for you!

Not being a liberal, I can let it go, though

Crossride, as a single parent myself, I am just being realistic. As a Mom who has been actively supportive and responsible for my children, it is easy for me to see how "unrealistic" sarah/todd are projecting life as typical American loving parents. Most parents aren't in public office or have the time to do all they claim , from pleasing everybody to wanting to seceed from the lower 48, to hunting and saying "no" to Congress. When one looks for the answers, there is just too many discrepancies. This is why I question this pick of mccain. No, it isn't sexist at all.

When one looks for the answers, there is just too many discrepancies. This is why I question this pick of mccain. No, it isn't sexist at all. First of all, you tried to slip in the "seceed" ( sic) comment, which has been thoroughly refuted. Except, maybe, in your mind. But, yes, it is sexist of you, coming from the Liberal Left that has been exhorting women for the past 50 years to cast off their traditional roles and stand up for what they really believe in. No self-respecting feminist would stand for being labelled as mother and homemaker when what she really wanted to be was governor. I'm sure, if you look hard enough, you can find plenty of examples in the Democrat Party of mothers who ran for public office. Now, when confronted with one who also happens to be a conservative Republican, it's driving the progressive feminists nuts. I support McCain's choice, not only because it reinforces his conservative standards, but also because it brings in someone with executive experience that was gained outside of Washington. Governors always make better executives that senators - especially senators who only sat in the Senate for 143 days.
