I can't see this as a strategic move. Do they think Biden will lay down and let her punch away??? even for seconds?

Yeah, I'm sure Bidan isn't prepping for the press conference (these will not be debates, there hasn't been a real debate in a presidential race since Lincoln & Douglas went at each other. What we get now are press conferences). Yet another example of leftists grasping at straws.

For the last 8 years, a good portion of the country's population cringed at bush's mispronunciation of the English language....now this? The value of our dollar is zilch, we face a depression and mccain expects the world to accept an "outsider of DC", who has only been out of the country twice and not for foreign relation purposes. What was Sarah thinking? What was John thinking?
How can palin ask the world leaders of their views when she is not allowed to take questions of reporters in her own country where she is running for the 2nd highest position?

You act as though she were at the top of the ticket, rather than Veep. Fear not, though. Joe will have a "personal" emergency after he blows the debate 10/2. The Man-Child will then select Mrs. Bruno Rodham Rodham to give him gravitas, as he is the #1 least experienced POTUS candidate in the 20th century. Don't worry about Sarah, worry about The Messiah! His Destiny? An obscure reference in Trivial Pursuit. Or an even more incompetent Presidency than Jimmah Cahtah.

Or is this all about the McCain Deathwatch?

That's a paltry response to my original question and Mink's excellent points. Are you saying it is okay for Republicans to shield the VP candidate from reporters who might ask tough questions? Is her crash course in foreign policy, which consists of meeting with a handful of world leaders behind closed doors, really going to prepare her for being a heartbeat away from the Presidency?
To respond to your statement, yes, I do act as though she were at the top of the ticket. Given that McCain could potentially be sworn in as the oldest President in US history having had cancer 4 times, there is a strong likelihood that she could wind up President during their first term in office. Given her severe lack of foreign policy experience I wonder what she would do if terrorists were to attack us again. With her Creationist/Armageddon beliefs about the world, and her itchy trigger finger while moose hunting, I am terrified at the thought of Palin being our Commander In Chief.

Quite frankly, Obama strikes me as the kind of man who would stand there with a surprised look on his face if someone punched him in the nose.
Palin reminds me of the kind of woman who would hit you back.

Palin reminds me of the kind of woman who would hit you back. Yep. But he'd have more of a disappointed look on his face, probably not surprise. And wasn't it Jesus who promoted turning the other cheek?
